For sure. The way he's moving into her life so quickly and persistently is a red flag. Plus there was possibly some foreshadowing when Zoe Kravitz tells Jane that they (abusers) can pretend to have Asperger's so they can get away with saying crazy shite.

I think they "they" was just guys in general. Their conversation wasn't about abusers unless I'm miss remembering.
I did think it was weird when he said he wanted to meet her kid but not in a pedo way. I think dude is just nerdy and awkward.

He just really likes Jane and has no actual game. You saw that in the restaurant scene when he went on a weird tangent.
He like most guys interested in a single mother recognized that the key to her heart lies within the kid. Win the kid, win the girl. Evidenced by her willingness to "dance" with him after the surfing lesson.

I actually told a real life Renata to GTFO of my office yesterday. I have a blood draw station in my office for the hospital I work with and she was there to get a blood draw for some outside physician. Her physician had coded the order wrong so the tech was having to call his office to get it corrected to get it paid for - nothing unusual but this bitch was having to wait. Her exact quote (loud enough for me to hear down the hall) was "I don't know why you are being so difficult with me today. I've been waiting now for over ten minutes and if this delay in my blood test causes me to miss my fertility treatments it is on your incompetent head!" I told her to GTFO and get her blood drawn elsewhere as my tech has not signed up for that kind of verbal abuse.
Whomever writes for this show knows some of these bitches.
