Why is there no discussion of this fantastic show on here?
Is a female-led cast too far outside the purview of the average TD poster - even those on the M/TV Board?
In all seriousness, season 1 was great, and last night's s2 premiere again had me enthralled. I have a lot of theories/questions, if there are any fans on here that want to dig in with me...

Do you think Mary Louise is also going to bite it by the end of season 2 after snooping too much? Will she believe her son was a sociopath abuser, or is she in denial? Does she herself posses some interminable rage in her DNA that led to her son becoming the monster he was? Will we see a darker side of her?
Also, how hot is Tori looking this season? She's def going to make a move on Ed, and he's going to either give in, then later tell Madeline about his infidelity...OR, he'll resist, tell Madeline about it, and then Madeline will reveal her own affair.

Laura Dern is great in that role. No way the unity lasts between those women, especially Renata.

His resume is very impressive - no doubt. Too bad he has about as much ability to relate to and support his wives as a ten year old boy.

I am guessing she was abused as well by grandpa and was ignorant to the monster she created. Similar to how kidmen was ignorant to what the abuse was doing to her kids, she assumed they never saw but kids always do

My wife hounded me to watch season 1 before the new season started and I'm glad I finally gave in. It's a very good show, and the episode to kick of season 2 was really good. Streep is going to bring the crazy this season.

Season one was great. Strong start to the season outside of the score. It was really odd at times especially when Shailene was dancing on the beach crazily with a Sufjan Stevens song playing. One of the most boring singer/songwriters on the planet. But, that's a 30 second complaint, nothing that took away from the episode.

Meryl Streep is great as expected. Kidman continues to do great work as well. Bonnie seems likes she’s gonna crack at some point.

Apparently Bonnie has a history of domestic violence in the book - her dad beat her mom I believe? Will be interesting to see if they get into that in this season, as I would think someone with such a history would have an easier time coping with the fact they indirectly killed an abuser.

You mean Perry being Jane’s rapist? I saw it coming, but it was still so impactful when Jane/Celeste/Perry/Madeline all realized what is happening at the party. All they did was look at each other, but you could feel every emotion that was registering.

The scenes between Streep and Witherspoon are awesome. Especially the scene where Streep tells Witherspoon how she doesn’t trust short people

Wasn’t a fan of having a second season but this episode was really good I though. The acting alone with Streep and Kidman/Witherspoon is gonna carry this show from being utter shite. Because narratively idk if this season is gonna work, for a number of reasons.

Yea I would have been good with just one season too, but i also ain't mad about a second. I'm sure Streep trying to figure out what happened almost like a villain detective will be the major plot for this season, along with some soap opera drama. I'm fine with that.
I've always liked Witherspoon but this shows she's really got some acting chops. You expect great acting from Kidmam but Witherspoon is right on par with her imo. Similar to Bill Hader in Barry. That show is really really good and Bill Hader showed he can do it all. His acting in that show is so dang good.

Am I the only one that doesn’t think Kravitz is hot?

Yeah I'm with you. I don't really get it. But then again, I always thought Nicole Kidman was overrated af too.
