Django Unchained is the highest rated film on IMDB that was filmed in Louisiana

If Louisiana would've had tax incentives in the 90's, I'm pretty sure some scenes of Forrest Gump would've been filmed here.

Sex, Lies, and a Videotape.
Pelican Brief
True Detective (not a movie but possibly the best portrayal of La).
Easy Rider (not all filmed in La, but the part that was is awesome).
Battlefield L.A. (jk), but the BR interstate would be better if aliens took it out.

Are we forgetting Skeleton Key or is that just not a well-regarded movie on this board?

The Horse Soldiers (1956) largely filmed around
Natchitoches, born that year and my folks were at NSU and met John Wayne.....

I’ll add “love song for Bobby long” to the list. Solid flick.
