You think it's a woman or something about the entire movie.

Sounds terrible. Will not watch

I still get chills when it is revealed that Luke was a hologram.

Ingenious.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers '78. Easily #1 for me. Sixth Sense is a solid #2.

Last time I was genuinely stunned at a twist was probably Wreck-It Ralph. Yeah yeah it's a family movie and super silly, but the big twist in that one left me floored.

I thought the ending to Fallen was a pretty good twist, but people don't often mention it in these kinds of threads. The 1998 Denzel Washington, John Goodman, Donald Sutherland movie, not whatever the 2016 movie is.

What about that movie with Whoopi and Demi where it turned out that Patrick Swayze was a ghost the whole time?

You jest, but Finkle is Einhorn was a terrific twist.

I never understood how this was a twist. It was pretty obvious she was not a normal chick.

The Prestige (twist was so good you want to watch it again the moment it ends)
Inception (people were debating the ending for weeks) I know people that went and see it 4 or 5 times to try to look for clues or whether the end was sill a dream or not.

I call BS. I don’t know anybody who went into Sixth Sense cold that thought for minute Bruce Willis was dead, until the end. Plenty of people get shot in movies and live, and he was the star so we “knew” he wasn’t going to die, and he acted appropriately PTSD-ish afterwards. You’re looking back at it with a twist in mind. You missed out if you already knew before seeing the movie, or even knew there was going to BE a twist. That’s why it was such a surprise, the movie didn’t really need that twist, that’s not what it was about... until it was. Mind. Blown.

It wasn't. The journalist thought it was a sidepiece, but it was the thing that reminded Charles Foster Kane of his innocence. Whether it be a sled or whatever, its the logical conclusion from just seeing the movie. It's not a twist.

That was my thought, just confirming. Also have to say I watched it, it really does not translate to a modern day audience. Saw Touch of Evil and thought it was a better Orson Wells film personally. Although I tend to gravitate more towards the muder/mystery film noire type.
