What a bunch of absolute dogshit the last 3 years. I'll go with the Equalizer 3 because it was at least a fun watch.

We've only seen the first Equalizer, and we liked it a lot.

Netflix was weird about that series. At one time, they only had Equalizer 2 available and we had not seen the first one at the time. Then they had the first one and none of the others... Would've been nice to have all three on Netflix at the same time.

I watched Zone of Interest the other night, and I still don't know what to think about it.

This sentence would be easier to stomach if we hadn't seen you championing the quality of Monster's Ball this weekend.

Halle Berry won a fricking academy award for her performance in Monsters Ball. She gave everything she had for that performance. Same with Billy Bob.

Are you honestly going to sit and argue that some piece of shite film like Dune 2 is better than a simple drama that has 2 Academy Award winners? Timothee Chalomet is one of the most overrated actors of all time. Sick of seeing that motherfricker’s name in the media. Dude can’t act for shite, not to mention he has a punchable face.

This is a troll right? I'm not saying Monster's Ball is bad, but come on. IN what way is Dune 2 a piece of shite? Other than you having some weird hatred for Chalomet.

Dune suffers from the same problem that so many other high-budget epic films from the post-COVID era have: too many cardboard-cut characters with very little character development. More power to you if you enjoyed it, but I just prefer to watch films that focus on a very small group of characters. With less characters in a story, room for character arcs opens up a lot.

And Bullet Train if we're going with 2022.

From the list, The Holdovers. Best movie in the past 10 years

I look at it as if I was going to (re)watch a movie from the last 3 years which would it be and to me nothing comes close to Godzilla Minus One.

It is a shame that so many didn't watch because it was a Kaiju movie or foreign with subtitles etc. It is amazing what was produced with that budget. I really hope they maintain their momentum with the sequel.

You should maybe try out this nice little movie if you like real life, dialogue driven movies with great acting.

The apple girl B-story and its style completely takes you out of the atmosphere and it goes nowhere.

It would have worked better as a short film... after the first hour, the unnerving effect wears off and it might as well be a recreation of the Goebbels family home movies. I like the idea a lot, but it could've been handled better imo. Spielberg handled the same subject better in just two scenes with Amon Göth
