I never disliked that but he's frustrating because I think he has style and imagination but it's limited by green screen
He wanted mos to be a sci fi b movie and certain elements were home runs, but the movie is so ridiculous and nonsensical but so is superman so I enjoy it while understanding it's a turd.

The score is going up in both Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, but even the good reviews aren't great. They're praising things like "the enormity" of it and individual scenes and shite like that.
Nothing is: "this movie will blow your damn doors off."
It's all: "Eh. It's fine." Which is about as ringing an endorsement I want to hear for my third cousin twice removed's cholesterol count. It doesn't make me interested at all.

Awesome. None of you have seen the movie and you're ready to fire Snyder off of the first hour of reviews.
I've seen Man of Steel. It just seems like this is an entirely reactive film that is fussing about us finding the final battle appalling as well as trying to catch up to Marvel. I'm not sure why this movie was made aside from these two things.

I'm definitely not a comic book aficionado, but I'm excited to check this out this weekend.

Mr. Sunday Movies gave it an ok review still waiting on Jeremy Jahns and Stuckman reviews to come out. All three are great and big fans of comic book movies.
With that being said I'm still seeing Thursday night

Let's be real for a minute. Zack Snyder was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE choice to tell superman's story. Nothing in his history points to him ever understanding the heart of the character.

I think he had the right idea to treat it like a sci fi movie, but yes he didn't get the character
It's hard to do superman though.

Those liberal pussies don't have some kind of twisted, emotional stake in how a big, dumb movie does at the box office.

I got downvoted to hell for saying that 3 months ago.
And yes, I'm seeing it Thursday

I view superhero movies like horror movies. 99% of them suck but I still like them
But occasionally there is a dark knight (recently for horror the last good movie was conjuring) and it changes expectations.

I didn't even realize it was releasing until yesterday. I thought it was a summer release

Batman Begins for me. I view that as the best all around comic book movie ever made. The number one quality I look for is rewatchability.

I have my things I look for in movies, but like I said, it's like the horror genre...I'm an addict but I understandably have low expectations
Personally, im suck if the zero sum game, the poor story structure and gag humor.
I like BB, but for me it sucks in the 3rd act, I like the dark knight for so many reasons, but I also love how it was just a chaotic maniac. The city wasn't going to blow up or get gassed.

The Dark Knight > Batman Begins until the last act centering around Two-Face. Then it falls off a cliff.
