Most of the people on this board.

This would be a different reaction if this was sitting at 98%. From everyone.

And nobody really "cares" per se, but these people are the first real window into what the film is like. That's kind of the point.

This is from Jet at Batman on film. I think this sounds awesome, but I can see why it would turn some people off.

quote:

Make no mistake about it, BvS is a dark film – darker than I expected. And it’s also a violent film. There’s not much blood on display (sorta like THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY), but the level of violence is quite high – I can definitely see how an R-rated cut can be created for this film.)

A "family-friendly popcorn flick" this ain’t.

Also, maybe Drew McWeeny was right all along.

What I'm hearing consistently is that the pacing and story structure are kind of sporadic and convoluted. Some have said the visuals are top notch. Some have criticized it for having too much CGI.

No. We'll get a justice league film from Snyder.

7/11 takes it on the chin in superhero movies.

One gets blown up in Thor, and then there's MOS.

Well, he never said it was happening for sure. He said in "his opinion" he wouldn't be surprised if he got removed. Any way, I don't really care, I'm super pumped to see it. Just pointing that out.

When do we get the solo Batman film with affleck as director? That's what I'm interested in.

Yeah, that's who I'm hoping gets to be the villain. I'm expecting Red Hood first since they're clearly setting that up and can utilize Joker organically without him being the main antagonist.

Hush would be a great second film villain. Wish Cumberbatch could play him, but I'm not sure if playing Doctor Strange would hinder that.

Just read IGN's review. This seems fair

quote:

BvS never fully transcends into being an awesome viewing experience and yet is also too competently made to be anywhere near the disaster its haters have predicted. That said, if you've already made up your mind about BvS then the actual film itself won't do much to change your mind one way or another.

How much influence did MoS have on these critics? Any critics? Any viewers?

So many people HATED MoS with a passion that I doubt they are going to review BvS objectively. I wouldn't be surprised to see some people just wanting to kill this franchise because they didn't like the first movie that came out.

But nonetheless, Rotten Tomatoes has never really let me down. If it sits between 40%-50%, it's probably a bad movie.

I just think it's odd that Twitter blew up yesterday praising it as the best comic book movie of the past five years, yet here we are with an 11%?

It appears that was little more than the WB attempting some astroturfing.

Yes, but come on Affleck is a solid actor. Hollywoodland, The Town, Argo, Gone Girl, all solid performances.
