That pretty much sums up the world as Zack Snyder sees it.

It worked really well in Dawn of the Dead during a zombie apocalypse. But a Superman movie? Not so much.

I was hoping for 'World's Finest'. I don't think they could have been lazier with title.

you need to have joy to make despair work

I think that's what a lot of these so called "dark" movies get wrong.

Did you see that YouTube video where those guys color corrected MoS and how much it added to the film for it just to be colorful?

That video was faked and darkened by the company that put out the video. Until you have seen the movie, why do so many on here seem to feel vindicated by the critic's bad reviews, yet feel nothing in the face of overwhelming audience response? It may be bad, but it also may be the tone and perspective serious comic book fans have waited for. I have heard too many opinions of people whose opinions I know and respect regarding comic movies that have said it is a great comic book movie. I'll see tomorrow night.

Exactly, audience goers are giving it 4.3/5. With roughly 120,000 people polled.

I'm disappointed to see the reaction to #BatmanvSuperman. I went in expecting not to like it, but I loved it. Make your own mind up on Fri!

It's not even about whether or not you and I like the movie. It's clear at this point that movie is poorly put together. Will you and I enjoy the action and have fun? Probably. But there's more at stake here. I said this a couple of months ago. Its about the masses. The less people like the movie, the less money they invest in the future. This is not Transformers. It's a very dark movie. It's not a kids movie. It doesn't have a draw outside the US. Now it's going to lose movie goers because of bad reviews. The DCEU audience is getting smaller and smaller. I think something needs to be done.

ETA: Oh, and I forgot to add the people who hate Zack Snyder. The audience is fading away...

I will say this: BvS is inspiring some outstanding film criticism. I mean, just the writing and the way it is launching into some greater issues with superheroes in general. There's some really thoughtful (and some incendiary) articles out there already. You can get lost in the wormhole on how this film relates to fascism, 9/11, America's role in the world, the Rule of Law, personal ethics, et cetera. BvS has already become quite the jumping off point.

While Civil War will likely get kinder reviews, they will not be nearly as interesting.

Well IMBD has it as a 8.5 so far.
I do feel like they rushed into this movie just so they can set up the JL to catch up to Marvel.

You really think 120,000 people have already seen it and voted? It's not even out yet.

The masses have given an overwhelmingly positive response.

This is what I am most happy about. Superman the Movie and Superman Returns is still available to watch.

You have overstepped rational thought in your fear of the critic's responses. Wait until the box office dispels this before you latch on to the thought of the moment. These characters are huge world wide.

It has the biggest presale of any comic book movie before it. You are panicking without reason. If in two weeks it is an abysmal box office failure...your thoughts in this thread will be justified.
