Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is closing right in on $2B worldwide and will pass that giant milestone early this week — it’s currently at $1.998B — and was recently granted a 30-day extended run in China where the cume a
some reviews are coming out now...

Rolling Stone: “Is it possible to have too much of a good Marvel thing? Avengers: Infinity War tests that theory to the max … Infinity War is all over the place, straining to give everyone a seat at the table … Avengers: Infinity War leaves viewers up in the air, feeling exhilarated and cheated at the same time, aching for a closure that never comes … at least not yet

Variety: “Avengers: Infinity War can, at times, make it feel like you’re at a birthday party where you got so many presents that you start to grow tired of opening them. But taken on its own piñata-of-fun terms, it’s sharp, fast-moving, and elegantly staged. It also has what any superhero movie worth its salt requires: a sense that there’s something at stake

USA Today: “It could have been an unholy mess, but with directors Anthony and Joe Russo at the helm, Infinity War is instead a glorious, multilayered and clever comic-book adventure with loads of emotional stakes and a perfect foe for Earth’s mightiest heroes

Forbes: "The non-stop quips and attempts at humour occur at the regular even when serious circumstances are unfolding. It was a minor issue in Thor: Ragnarok but it is near fatal here. Sure the MCU movies all have humour, but imagine if characters were cracking wise during Peggy's funeral in Civil War or as the team was mourning the death of Agent Coulson in The Avengers and you'll have an idea of how it plays out here."

That sounds about right. I think it will get a lot of hate for being too long and have too much packed into one film but will still be, for the most part, a good, entertaining movie
I’ll go 81%

Whatever it is, I’ll put no stake in it.

I think most will ding it for feeling incomplete since there's a part 2 they're no longer calling part 2. I believe Feige has come out and said it was a mistake. Not making it two parts but to hide the title or originally label it as part 2.
I think it also undercut Age of Ultron, I mean it wasn't a good movie but there were no real stakes in it because you knew where this was all headed, Ultron was just a pit stop.

I'm seeing a lot of these bloggers saying it's too long and too much going on. I'm interested to see what the "top critics" think of it.

I kind of just have to shrug that off, it being long and overstuffed had to be expected. It's been a 10 year buildup with a shite ton of characters....so no shite.
Now if it feels needlessly long, well that's different.

This is a Russo Avengers and not a Whedon Avengers so I’m gonna go with 93%.

Ultron is the one who should have ripped the Avengers apart and made them particularly vulnerable to Thanos. Ultron should have been stopped at the end, but I think he should have gone into deliberate hibernation just to see the Avengers destroy themselves, only to surface in IW Part 2.

I don't see why this movie being too long is a problem. it's likely full of storylines and we know it's full of characters. If the movie is good, length is irrelevant.
Who the hell complains that they had to sit in the theater for 20 more minutes watching this culmination of events?
Maybe if BvS did that it would have been slightly better.

BvS was already 2.5 hours that felt like 4. No thanks to having to see more of that movie.
I assume you meant Justice League

well BvS should have been two movies, instead they tried to jam 2-3 movies into one. So it was long and disjointed

I take the “too long” comment with a grain of salt. That’s naturally going to be the case...this has been building for 10 years, has a ton of characters, and has to really introduce and make us care about the villain and his henchman. I have no problem with the length if it’s balanced and makes sense, I want to see this story told well.
Not sure where it starts but I say it lands around 85-90%, audience score will be higher

Raise your hand if you're waiting on the Tomato score before deciding to buy a ticket.

Wikanda and Black Panther are a major part.
Makes it by PC default a lock to be 100% with a floor of 96%

This guys a good follow for box office info. It's what I've suspected, I don't think this movie makes as much as Black Panther, domestically.

#Avengers #InfinityWar: Multipack of superhero stories, made with a spare-no-expense budget, that join for epic finale which will certainly not please all. Gargantuan opening, then shaky legs. Core fans will be sucked in, but more mainstream auds will have limited repeat biz.
