quote:I hated Thrawn
Thrawn was probably the only redeeming quality of this thing.
He is supposed to me a master tactician and strategist, the greatest wartime Admiral to ever live.
The way they portray that in the show is to have him say whatever bad thing is happening is part of his plan. He is petty and weak.
The actor was solid, but I think all the actors were pretty well cast and lore accurate in appearance. Just dogshit scripts. Turned Bridger into a pathetic weak kneed, perpetual damsel in distress. . .rather than the headstrong, clear-eyed, determined leader willing to sacrifice his life to protect the rebels.
Ezra in the animated series:
Competent
Capable
Intelligent
Selfless
Heroic
In Ahsoka:
Pathetic
Crybaby
incompetent
Weak Willed
just plain weak

What got me about Obi-Wan is Leia should have never known Obi. She didn't say "you saved me as a kid" she said "you served my father in the clone wars"

It was written by the little rascals, what did you expect.
This is probably the stupidest scene in all of Star Wars, and that's saying a lot.
Although it had it's own challengers within this stupid show.

Yeah, it's insane they ran with that storyline.

Other than Mandi & Ando, all Star Wars series is a joke.
Disney literally ruined the franchise

so you think 2 good series is worse than no series at all? because that's what star wars was before disney
It's doesn't make sense that you think releasing the prequels is somehow better than releasing Andor, Mando, Rogue One, Solo.
That's the comparison of Lucas vs Disney star wars for the past 30 years.
Lucas wasn't replicating the OT ever whether he sold it or not.

To me, I'd say Ahsoka is probably the 3rd best Star Wars series.
#1 is Andor, but there's really no way to build upon that going forward. That's just a much, MUCH more mature and thoughtful view of the events leading to the original Star Wars movie.
#2 is Mando, which has stretches where it's very good.
Interestingly enough, 2 of those stretches include characters that got their own series.... Ahsoka, and Boba Fett.
Ahsoka was the better of those two shows.
Obi-Wan, as many point out, was a mistake. Poorly acted, poorly written and executed. And as stated, flies in the face of canon. Obi and Anakin meet again, and Anakin isn't the student; so that line about "when last we met, I was but the student. Now, I am the master" becomes meaningless.
Also Obi-wan meeting Leia early for a MAJOR life event (her kidnapping).
Also, the entire premise is just mind-numbingly stupid...
Bail Organa was already a known and respected member of the Senate during the Clone Wars. This is a decade or more later, he's still a Senator, and it's years before Palpatine dissolves the Senate. So he is a visible and powerful government official. And someone just forcefully abducted his adopted daughter from his homeworld.
You're telling me he doesn't walk into the Emperor's office and demand the best Imperial resources to get her back alive?

agree that obi wan series was insultingly stupid. I actually felt sorry for ewan mcgregor but he did agree to do it. I wonder if he knew how stupid it was going to be ahead of time

Yes. Star Wars was better with no Disney influence.
Next question?

Very underrated IMO. It doesn’t seem to get talked about good or bad.

I like Skeleton Crew as a fun little show that isnt too serious. "Goonies in Space" is an accurate description and i had no problem enjoying that.
I think Andor is well done but i dont love it. I wasnt looking for a star wars drama. But i appreciate that it respects the lore and does a good job incorporating source material. Its just not my cup of tea.
Loved Mando when its at its best. Luke showing up to save the day was peak disney's Star Wars. But it can drag on and get a little cheesy.
Boba Fett is way too much cheese but i dont hate it. Its not good sometimes, but i like the world they are in.
Ashoka had some good parts. Baylon was awesome. The droids are cool. I think the worst part of the whole show is Rosario Dawson. And you could tell that disney was still stuck in their girl boss phase. Im interested in seeing season 2. They can do better but its not total shite.
But, the acolyte was a complete abomination. Jokingly bad. Nothing redeemable from that show that i can remember. Like i think there was some tiny little piece that i enjoyed, but that memory got washed away by the tons and tons of garbage that show churned. The worst thing since TLJ.
The ObiWan Kenobi show was like a fever dream. My brain discarded it all immediately after it was over. Just complete nonsense. Embarassing that a major film studio would release that show. The Obi show justified the term "hate watching" and it made millions of dollars for youtube channels that rightfully roasted it. But it was only the warm up for the massive piece of crap called The Acolyte.

One decent lightsaber battle at the end of the show, and another that idiots claimed was good. . .but 90% of the fight was obstructed
Nothing else was remotely redeemable.

I thought Ahsoka was ok it had some great moments. Thrawn was very cool. The only series I did not watch all through was the Acolyte. It was pure garbage after watched 1st two episodes. I pretend that one never happened like the last Jedi.
