You had peak Willis, a great cast, thrills, chills, comedy, action, romance, and space.

Ain't gonna lie that animal cracker scene always makes me misty in the eyes

The only thing that woulda made this better (if that was possible) is if the Transfomers somehow had a cameo.

Pretty sure these are mostly real atronauts!

Michael Bay and Bruckheimer went all out and it shows!
This movie has everything a blockbuster should have. They just don't make awesome flicks like this anymore...

Is that the movie where NASA thought they could train oil workers to be astronauts quicker than they could train astronauts to drill into an asteroid???

The more touching seen is when Coach Yoast goes to see his kid and he tells his ex I’m gonna do something soon that you just might be proud of me

I mean I thought the kid would have been proud about the Virginia high school hall of fame but what do I know

Great soundtrack, but let's be honest... Deep Impact is the superior meteor movie.

Okay, so the scariest environment imaginable. Thanks. That's all you gotta say, scariest environment imaginable.

It is a very entertaining and rewatchable movie.

I always laugh that AJ got fired and the next day he had his own oil drilling business going.

That scene always got me. That one and the one in The Patriot where the little girl is telling Mel Gibson “daddy please don’t go I’ll say whatever you want me to say..” after not talking the whole movie.

What the shite is all of this..??

Armageddon smokes Deep Impact entirely, and it’s not even remotely close. And I like DI too, but it is by far the inferior movie.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anybody say that DI is better, let alone multiple in one thread.

Come on now, young Elijah Woods, Leelee Sobieski & freaking Robert Duvall. Better cast, *more scientifically accurate, and it predicted a black president! ( OK, I’ll take a boot to the head for that last comment but otherwise)…

it’s just a better movie. Armageddon is great popcorn fun, but it’s basically the Transformers of meteor disaster movies.

* since those movies were released, we have sent probes to asteroids and comets . Deep Impact got it closer by far.

I think most had that same opinion, but then we may be overlooking the fact that she had a good reason to kick him to the curb. Who knows if he was slapping her around and sleeping with her sister?

JK.. sorta

When Jason isaacs is telling the plan and they say well the presidents advisors do it differently and he goes “ I went to MIT with his advisors and I don’t think you want the advice of some who had a C in Astrophysics”
