Had no idea until I just read an article right now that even all the stupid daytime talk shows, late night garbage, SNLs, etc. all stopped doing new shows. Not just “creative” shows and movies.

Had literally no clue. It hit me that it’s been kinda nice not having to read stupid quotes in the headlines from these brainless windbags every day and that would be thanks to the strike.

Even that insufferable bitch Mayim Bialik apparently stepped aside from hosting Jeopardy in solidarity or some nonsense...

It’s been nice. I hope the deal falls apart and the strike continues

No clue about any of that. There's such a backlog of content that I'll never get through.

I could do without delays on new shows/new seasons. Some projects already take forever to come out of the development stage.

You realize most of the "impact" will be felt down the road....right?

Yet here you are at 1:52 am writing a thesis about them. Idgaf about late night shows and they have no effect on my life, but I still enjoy good movies

As long as South Koreans keep writing, I don’t care what pedo-wood does.

Other than being inconvenienced by new series/movies being delayed in production, I've actually enjoyed the break in hearing all the hot takes from the late night talk shows. I was hoping that they would go extinct.

I'm on season two of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Didn't affect me at all. Also, if sitting is the new smoking, watching t.v. is the new unfiltered menthol cigarettes. Get outside and move while the weather is glorious. I sweated my balls off all summer for this.

I can’t wait for John Oliver to return and Colbert to get away from repeats. Suck on that one. lol.

I have plenty of shows that are current that I don’t want to see go the Friday Night Lights route because of the strike. Thankfully it recovered but man, that strike season was fricking terrible.

The longer this strike goes on, the more likely that Landry Clarke will kill a man...

The only thing that aggravates me is them pushing Dune 2 back to 2024.

Basically every normal person not in the industry is barely effected. I haven't been effected at all.

Now, in a year, many of us will feel the effects a bit because of delays in new programming.

Especially in the fall. We have football, tail end of MLB, F1, and basketball will be starting soon. I barely get a moment of peace to watch a half of football much less binge a show.

Yeah Dune delay is really the only thign I'm pissed about. There is so much content out there even after Covid, it's insane.
