The embargo is up later today, but Forbes has posted the first review. Looks like another winner for Marvel. Possible spoilers

I say all of this because I’m about to praise the hell out of Ant-Man, and I know there are people who are going to be determined to hate it
Ant-Man takes a criminal team led by an ex-convict absentee father, gives them a high-tech robbery/heist to pull off in order to help a shortsighted neglectful father redeem himself and stop a new global arms race, and manages to make all of it a warm, heartfelt family story about parents and children learning to overcome the obstacles between them in order to love one another again. Now throw in battles in which the hero has to outrun a bath and overcome children’s toys, and training sequences involving teaching insects to lift sugar cubes. Does that sound remotely like any superhero movie you’ve ever seen?
How about some parallel dimensions? An Avenger? Some hysterical sight gags and enough comedy for an Anchorman sequel? Oh, and one of the best female heroes in any superhero/comic book movies ever made? Should I also mention two after-credit scenes that… well, you just better not get up and leave until the house lights come up and the projector is turned completely off, or you’ll seriously regret it. This isn’t just some cute extra scenes we’re talking about, trust me.

I know people who will go just for the credit scenes.

I'm getting old, I remember a time when there were only 30 or so Marvel releases a year.

This is only the second. If your going to make a bad joke, at least have something to back it up.

Ive been looking forward to this film since it was announced. Didn't like that they substituted a new character for Hank Pym, but Rudd's casting is good news and may salvage the character. (Pym is a little bit of an a-hole). Can't wait to see it.

Me too, I was always waiting for Paul Rudd to play a Superhero.

Every trailer has been better and better. It looks so good, and different. Glad to hear the positive reviews.
Thanks for making this, let's keep it updated.
ETA: And glad it was you and not RollTide who would be miffed and stop updating it if it had more and more positive ratings. (See: Age of Ultron)

why would he get miffed?
Well in the AOU "Ratings" thread. He posted an update every single percentage point that Age of Ultron dropped.
"Down to 73% with an average score of 6.9/10."
"71%"
"70%"
"69%"
Well, Age of Ultron bottomed out at 67 and started going back up he stopped. I just have to give him a hard time about it.

added a couple more. Wow, these reviews are quite shocking. I expected it to be pretty good, but sounds like Marvel hit a home run with this one.

Really glad this movie came together.

Looks like a lot of the Fresh reviews have marginal praise. Where are you seeing all of these home run reviews?

It has to stay fresh. I'd love to see a report on how much Rotten Tomatoes affects a movie.

At least three of the bad reviews (there's only four) seem more like they're just pissed because Edgar Wright left the project and their finger has been hovering over the submit button ever since.

More bad reviews now. Not mentioning Wright.
