This will not be a blockbuster but has a good chance of being Best Picture and Madison is the current betting favorite for Best Actress. Sean Baker’s directing and editing are also worth mentioning. Do yourself a favor and check it out if it’s playing near you.

I plan to see it. Been loving Mikey Madison since she played Pamela Adlon's bitchy teen daughter on Better Things. She was also good as a Manson chick in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad Pitt kills her arse good.

Sex worker has been used to glamorize the lifestyle because of the popularity of sites like onlyfans. In this case, I think it’s just the term they used because she is both a stripper and an escort. I’m sure there is a lot of overlap, but they are two distinct professions.
At no point in this movie is her lifestyle glamorized. It is very clear she will do anything to escape the life she is living.
