Jesus they stuck that landing so perfectly. Amazing show.
Absolutely. And if you really think about it, an ending like that can only happen when written as a prequel. If written in order of actual events, the temptation for the writers to follow up on that detail would have been too strong to overcome. Beautiful moment.

Rewatching some of Rogue One last night, time is a little ambiguous at the start. We can't really tell how long it takes between Andor going to Kafrene and rescuing Jyn from the prison planet.

The last 3 episodes start at BBY 1. That's 1 year before the Death Star is destroyed in a New Hope.
So the events of these three episodes through Rogue One through a New Hope take place within one year.
My feeling is it's not all happening in the next two weeks, and that there is some time still to fill, but that there's probably little story left to tell there.

That woman was Davo Sculdun’s wife. His daughter’s mother-in-law. Seems maybe Davo was taken down for being Mon’s money launderer.

Ya, that's what I picked up on too but to another poster's point, how in the hell did those two stay out of trouble with the empire?
The Empire wasn't particularly known for being fair.

I don’t know about Davo’s wife, but I feel like Perrin had enough Imperial connections to vouch for him. I don’t think the Empire had any hope of using him as a bargaining chip and they knew it.

I'm so glad they had Bail Organa tell Andor "May the force be with you" before they parted. They really needed someone to say it in this show since they were saying it by the time of Rogue One and A New Hope. Bail was the perfect choice as we know he worked closely with the Jedi back in the day.

The events of Rogue One and A New Hope take place over about two weeks, give or take. This arc may have taken place in 1 BBY but it's like December of 1 BBY

I would love to know what was implied with Davo. Maybe they tracked him through Mon, but he had ties to Luthen as well.
I can see Perrin and Davo's wife consoling each other over their losses and here we are. I laughed so hard at that scene. Was so dumb and perfect

It’s insane that they took a character that frankly I didn’t love in Rogue One and made him one of the best characters in the Star Wars universe
Amazing writing and directing, will do amazing things.
Lucas thought amazing CGI was the way in the prequels, which created some horrible movies.
Disney thought recreating the original trilogy in the sequels was the way, which killed off an entire generation of fans now.
Andor showed Disney the way, we will see if they follow.

In the interview I linked earlier, Gilroy said the original idea from Disney about Andor was Cassian and whoever else "storming the Citadel" right off the bat. He convinced them that you force yourself into a corner and have nowhere to go. You have to start with Andor and the worst day of his life, and build him up. Also, you hold off on introducing K-2SO for as long as possible.
I know she catches a lot of shite online, but Gilroy was so grateful for what Kennedy did for them and how she made this show happen.
"We want to start off in a brothel."
"Ok"
"We want the main character to kill 2 cops right at the beginning."
"Sure"
"We want the production designer from Chernobyl."
"Great idea."
He says Andor never happens without her.

Kleya is the shite
I was very impressed by her performance in the show. When I looked her up, I was shocked to see little acting she has done prior to Andor.

She was the 3rd option for that role. And she owned it right from the start.
In "Make it Stop", when they are getting Luthen ready to go meet Lonni, she has that brief moment of emotion when looking at him, then snaps to "tuck in your shirt". Was so good.
This didn't occur to me, but the actress talks about that scene where she pulls the life support, it's love and hatred at the same time because even though he was a father figure to her, he was still part of the group responsible for the death of her family, and Kleya has never let that go.

The timeline is confusing because 0BBY isn’t a year, it’s just the events of A New Hope. 0ABY is everything that happens after Chewy is robbed of a medal.

Makes you kinda think Disney never imagined the show to take off like it did.
