The music for the prison scenes was outstanding. So tense. Reminded me a lot of Metal Gear Solid.
Are we supposed to know what’s up with the floors or is that something new to Star Wars lore?
Also, I wonder if/when we find out what they’re building. Or maybe it doesn’t even matter (which honestly could be a pretty brilliant choice by the writers).

That might have been best episode yet

Now I am sad as the second and final season is not expected to be released until sometime in 2024.
Why do Disney+ and HBOMAX do stuff like this? These organizations know what people like, yet they just need to be sure, so now it’s over a year before new episodes premiere.

The steel used in the floors is made of Tunqstoid steel which was first introduced in the Expanded Universe. Strong enough when used in doors Jedi could not cut through it.

Web speculation is for the Imperial Probe Droid but I tend to believe something for the Death Star. We know it is being constructed and would not be surprised these prisons are being used to make every part needed for it. Plus the irony Andor helping to build it, finds the plans to destroy it, and later gets killed from it.

Great episode this week. It definitely feels like a show where the buildup to the end isn’t clear cut. Refreshing to say the least

The prison aesthetic seems like an homage to THX 1138.

Watched a little movie named “Monday” with Sebastian Stan (the Winter Soldier) and the blonde Imperial supervisor - Dedra Meero (well, the actress Denise Gough).
She is weirdly attractive, and quite talented it appears, for she plays a complete opposite character (and clothes-optional in quite a bit) in that film.

been a great series thus far.
I"m sure whatever they are building is for the death star.
Going to be interesting to see how the hell he gets out of this pickle, b/c obviously he's not staying in there for 6 years.
The obvious choice would be that the imperial lady and Syrill will find him and get him out of there to question him. does he escape from her, or does he make a deal with her to be released and lead them to the main person they are trying to get (Luthen)?
My guess is that he'll find a way to impersonate a guard and escape that way.
I also think they are going to find out who Luthen is, and he'll die for the cause not giving anyone up.
And i do hope this season ends with the start of the rebellion for real and either a tease in the last episode or next season we get to see the crew of the Ghost. Would be nice to just introduce Kanan and Ezra, and then give the opportunity to put them in other shows like Ahsoko, or their own spinoff.
Well looking it up, looks like Ezra will be making his debut in the upcoming series Ahsoko.
I know it was already fleshed out in Rebels, but they could do a live action series just with Ezra and Maul to explain the holocrons. And i want to know more about what happened with Ezra after Rebels.

We are a few years out from those 2 even meeting I believe.
I would not be surprised to see Saw involved in his escape.

I'm hoping it has something to do with the introduction of this fan favorite

that's kind of what i was hinting. It was those types of droids that brought him to that prison, so i would imagine he finds a way to escape with one, and then reprograms it.
It has been mentioned in both Rogue One and this series about "looking the part" to impersonate the empire and gather intelligence or steal what you want.

Probably how he obtains it during the escape.

Ep.9 is up.
Spoiler-ish:
Lots of Empire-tightening-its-grip this episode. Tension is high. Shite is going down next week.
The Mon Mothma actress remains fascinating. Her ability to display confidence/control publicly/socially then switch instantly to genuine micro-gestures of anxiety/vunerability in private is masterful.
There was also a touching storyline that was reminiscent of Shawshank.

Another fantastic episode. I love that they got Serkis for this so he could have a SW appearance that wasn't Snoke.
Not sure if anybody noticed, but one of the guys on Andor's prison crew is a Rebel. He rescues Jyn and is part of the Rogue One crew.

Great catch! I was wondering why they kept focusing on that guy considering he seems like a minor character at this point. I absolutely loved that last scene with Serkis and Diego as they walked out. The anger in their eyes jumped off the screen. I can’t wait for the breakout. This show has greatly exceeded my expectations

I genuinely love this series; hate that so few are watching. Excellent episode and it feels like their are really building up for an epic finale.

This show is so damn good. To me far and away the best of the spin-off series. Have been impressed with every episode. Excellent cast and compelling all around.

Good catch and makes sense as many would join the rebellion. These guys are probably many of the ones that join with Andor and go to Skariff to fight with Jyn.

We are around the same time. Rebels and this show both begin 5 BBY.

It’s crazy how good this series is, just getting better and better. The attention to detail is amazing. They somehow make me interested in each characters plot line. Must be the writing.
I enjoyed The Mandalorian, but it was mostly mindless fun. Book of Boba Fett and Obi Wan were really bad, IMO. Andor just seems to be on another level. They need to give Tony Gilroy a film trilogy after this. Better yet, give him Kathleen Kennedy’s job.
If any of y’all gave up on Andor after the 1st or 2nd episode, you need to give it another try.
