Trailer is ambiguous (maybe purposefully) but just didn't get me going.

In December 2011, Russell's 19 year old transgender niece, Nicole Peloquin, filed a police report alleging Russell had sexually assaulted her. The case was closed without any charges being filed because the alleged assault wasn't witnessed by police. According to the police report, Russell offered to help Peloquin with ab exercises during which his hand hovered above her private parts. After inquiring about the hormones she used to increase breast size Russell slipped his hands under her shirt and felt both breasts. Russell confirmed that the incident happened, but told police that Peloquin was "acting very provocative toward him" and invited him to feel her breasts. He also admitted to being "curious about the breast enhancement." This incident was also directly mentioned in the 2014 Sony Pictures hack.

Same. Plus, this looks like a propaganda film.

I guess that answers why he hasn't made a film in 7 years after having a really good run

What the frick

Isn't this director that famously treats film crews like garbage and got into a physical fight with George Clooney on the set of Three Kings after Clooney repeatedly defended the crew?

A lot about this film should give you the idea that it would be great.. up until The Message rears its ugly little head in the trailer, then the awesomeness quickly begins to leave the room. The niece story definitely throws up a Woke flag.

I was hoping TG Maverick would finally be the start of a journey back toward normalcy in movies again, and that the Woke had finally ran its course, but that was just an outlier. I think common sense is in the pipeline at this point, though(hopefully, anyway). Just curious when it will start being a normal, natural occurrence again.

Movie seems very similar to Fargo S4, and both have Chris Rock
I do like Robbie as a brunette

Russell is hit or miss with me and the cast is great but that trailer didn't interest me at all. Actually a couple of the actors in this are boring as hell every time I see them

American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook are two of the best films in the last 30 years IMO.

David O Russell, not as great as the other David O., but pretty outstanding.

ETA: My opinion is based solely on the movies he’s made, not the personality and accusations stuff.

this one seems to be getting very mixed reactions in reviews.

Still want to see it because of the cast and I'm a sucker for Christian Bale movies.

Yeah, I’m going to see it. I actually love several David O’Russell films, and Bale is money. I’m inoculated to a small amount of wokeness as long as the plot is good and the character development is handled properly.
