I have enjoyed all four AP movies actually

Walking through a Walmart I saw a DVD on sale including all of the American Pie movies. Which I found confusing because apparently there are NINE in total

American Pie 2 > American Pie

One of the few sequels outside of Star wars movies people can say that about.

All the American Pie films that were theatrical releases were damn funny I thought. I know American Wedding gets a ton of crap but I love it. The straight to DVD releases are the ones to stay away from. The latest one was called “American Pie: Girls Rule”... you can assume how that ones goes

American Pie 2 > American Pie

Agreed. Part 2 was a great extension of the first. Wedding and Reunion are pretty good too, but not anywhere near the level of the first two.

I agree that American Pie 2 > American Pie but I absolutely love both films. They were perfect for the late 90s/early 00s and the soundtracks couldn't have been better.

The first movie came out right after I graduated in 1999. Me and my mum were laughing hysterically in the theater, my poor sister was embarrassed.

It was the last movie I saw before going to Basic.

You better show them boys Shannon Elizabeth’s boobs or they’ll be googling them later.

ETA We should all be so lucky to have a dad like Jim’s dad who was supremely understanding and super awkward, but always meant well.

can movies like these even get made anymore? the entire genre seems dead in the water which is sad

The most perfect set of movies for late 90s, early 00s time frames and they always had the best soundtracks ever. Loved those movies.

Unfortunately, if American Pie were made today.

Jim would be bi-curious
Oz would be black
Kevin would be a deaf mute
Finch would be home school'd due to being insecure about his irritable bowel syndrome.
Stiffler would be Amy Schumer
And Nadia would be pre-op
