The audio of him telling how he killed his little girls is disgusting
I stopped watching at this point he said how he killed the wife and started on the little girls. I was like yeah I'm good without hearing that.

Also very weird how much the wife documented everything on social media.
You must not have many people you went to high school that are sucked into an MLM because that's what they do.

Keep in mind that these texts were released by her family. It's a pretty safe bet that there were others that were worse than what they picked out for the documentary.
This. She seemed like a terrible person. She did NOT deserve to die, but I'm not sure how they stayed together that many years.
The part where he talks about killing the little girls is one of the worst things I've ever watched.

He took those babies on an hour long ride out to his job site to kill them.
Think about that. He had an hour to really think about what he was going to do.....and he still murdered his daughters.
Pure evil
It was already incredibly messed up that he killed his daughters, but I thought the situation was that one walked in while or shortly after he murdered the wife.
He drove his children one hour with their dead mother under a sheet at their feet before murdering them. That is beyond fricked up. No punishment is enough.

I doubt he has much of a conscience considering how nonchalant he was pretty much immediately after, dude was a fricking sociopath. Tried to pivot once he realized he was fricked and pin the children murders on her.
not sure this thing really needed a documentary, probably only a 30 minute episode of Dateline. Body cam footage alone you knew he was guilty as shite.

I think my favorite part was them cutting in the audio of a couple Facebook Karen’s who were convinced he was telling the truth and that they could tell how she was the one who started all this based on the videos they posted reminded me of this site and how there’s ALWAYS a zag when there’s a zig
Only wish they would’ve had recent interviews with those people

its actually worse in the killings of his daughters
LINK
this book actually pre dates the doc and makes it clear the murders were planned and not something done on a whim, so not sure why the doc ignores this. That article is a much tougher read than the documentary
quote:
Watts, 34, described smothering the little girls in their beds with a pillow on August 13, 2018, before going back to bed with his pregnant wife Shanann Watts
But shockingly his daughters 'woke back up' bruised and traumatized after he had strangled Shanann to death in their bed in Frederick, Colorado
He then describes driving to the oil field where he methodically killed both of his daughters for the second and final time
quote:
In the letter, Watts writes: 'August 13th, morning of, I went to the girls' room first, before Shanann and I had our argument. I went to Bella's room, then Cece's room and used a pillow from their bed (to kill them). That's why the cause of death was smothering. After I left Cece's room, then I climbed back in bed with Shanann and our argument ensued.
'After Shanann had passed, Bella and Cece woke back up. I'm not sure how they woke back up, but they did. Bella's eyes were bruised and both girls looked like they had been through trauma. That made the act that much worse knowing I went to their rooms first and knowing I still took their lives at the location of the batteries.'

Yeah me too. That shite really did shake me to my core and I’ve watched some shite. I had an uneasy feeling and had to pause it a few times. I cannot comprehend how he could do that to his children. His interview where he decided to finally spell it all out was fricking horrible.
I’m with you. Now that I have kids I really struggle to finish shows like this. It’s just too much.

Yeah I’m not watching this shite.
I used to watch all this crap because I always wondered what they were thinking but now that I have a kid no thanks. No amount of logic not understanding justifies what he did.
I hope he rots

I've read the comments on here and wonder...why didn't he lawyer up?
Apart from being evil, apparently from what I've read the guy was a complete moron.
He invited the cops into his house because of a nosey neighbor insisted?
He agreed to a polygraph when the cops can routinely say you failed even if it's not true.
He sat with interrogators for hours without counsel?
Good thing he was an imbecile who listened to cops being "his friend" so this a-hole was easily convicted.
But it sounds like from the stories posted and comments, he did everything you're not supposed to do after being a suspect. And apparently he thought he was being the "cooperative husband" with the police and "had nothing to hide."
I don't care if you're 100% innocent, lawyer up. The police think the husband did it 100% of the time and nothing you tell them is going to change their minds. They will focus on you and lure you into a trap.

Oh, no doubt he was/is. Which is strange, because it seems most sociopaths are pretty intelligent. As for why he didn’t lawyer up immediately, it’s probably because they were just missing as far as the police knew. If he calls the police to report them missing, then upon their arrival his attorney is there telling him not to answer anything, well he then goes from being the #1 suspect to the #1, 2, 3, and ONLY suspect. I’m not sure there was a window to retain counsel that wouldn’t have basically been a de facto confession.
And he, very mistakenly, thought he could outsmart the police. But he severely overestimated both his intellect and acting skills. I remember catching his “plea” to find them before he confessed. I almost laughed at how ridiculous he came off. I remember immediately thinking “well, this a-hole is obviously responsible for whatever happened. I wonder how long before he’s arrested.” Not long. And it didn’t take long for his neighbor to see through his act, either.

probably this
I think he thought as long as they couldn't find the bodies he could sell people on her just disappearing with them
him now saying this was all pre planned makes him an even bigger fricking idiot than I originally thought watching it

There's body cam footage where he's with the cops searching the house and acting worried, knowing full well what he did. He's a piece of shite.

Speaking of, the polygrapher (whatever you call that) was great. When she and the detective went back in there after he’d confessed to his dad about killing the wife and they still patted him on the shoulder trying to get him to feel comfy and spew more. That’s gotta be hard to do, I’m sure they both would rather have shot him there on the spot.
And I know it’s been talked about in this thread and she was an MLMer, but wow, who has time to really live when you’re recording yourself that much?

I said the exact same thing. He did everything you're not supposed to do. Even if you look guilty and become the prime suspect. Don't talk to the police. I'm glad this a-hole is in jail for the rest of his life though.
