It was a really good finale last night. They just had too much to get wrapped up in a single one hour episode. This season could've really used one more episode to deal with the aliens. That was the only wtf part of season 2 for me.
Now on to last night. I took Jude's last line to mean that Lana showed up to Briarcliff looking for evil and evil is exactly what she got. Jude was evil because she tried to hide from killing a girl (so she thought) while driving drunk and then proceeded to be a pretty shitty person when running Briarcliff. The monsignor was evil for letting all of that shite continue so it wouldn't affect him becoming a Cardinal. The Nazi doc is self-explanatory. Possessed nun gets a pass because she actually had the devil in her but still evil nonetheless. Lana is looked at as evil for using Briarcliff to get rich and famous and lying in the process and creating Bloodyface Jr. The only one that ended up being worth a shite was Kit and they failed to tell us why he was important to the aliens or why the damn things existed or chose him.

The comments on AHS' FB are 75% negative... Doesn't sound like the season went over well with most.

The Lana BloodyFace theory is just poorly made Fan Fiction.
How did she get Threadson to commit on tape to murders you say he didnt have anything to do with? We heard the tapes
ETA i mean "you" as in anyone who buys that bogus theory

Yeah they did. It was because he was kind and had a good heart. Nothing more. This would be like getting hung up on the first season "how did dead Tate impregnate a woman"?

Yeah, I think I'll go with that theory too. Kind of bummed there was no alien confrontation though.

I'm not surprised the comments on facebook are so negative. The things which made the final 3-4 episodes so brilliant were directly antagonistic to the average AHS fan who tuned in for Nazi doctor and Satan nun. Which were also awesome, but the surprising depth this season found in its back third was staggering, and almost like a different piece of TV entirely.
This show went from being the guiltiest of guilty pleasures to a fairly poignant take on the aftermath of horror, and how people deal with the absence of trauma that previously defined them.

I still just think it was too cluttered...
I feel like it would take two full seasons to tell the full story (if that makes any sense)
There's so much more that could have been fleshed out.

As far as my opinion on the season, I wasn't all that impressed. It was okay, I found the first season much creepier, didn't really find this one creepy at all.
But, it entertained me and that's all I really ask for. I am looking forward to next season.
As for the "lana is bloodyface", that was just a thought I had when watching that scene. I'm not arguing for it. It just crossed my mind and apparently others had the same thought.

Ive said that multiple times... The initial plot that they laid out would be great for an entire series, but they tried to squeeze it into a single season

Just hopeful more than anything that after all the time I spent watching that there was at least one original somewhat clever element to the show.

Yeah, Lana talked about it in the interview... Talked about how they had their careers and as Kit got more sick, he didn't want them to see him like that, then he disappeared.

After Arden hopped in the crematorium, the show was a
to me. I want to be entertained after a 10 hour work day.

Can get that with a 6 pack, some skinimax, and lotion

As was mentioned, lana spoke about it in the interview. Said something to the effect "and Grace was right, the children were special..."

When the angel of death woman kissed the devil nun, she said that she was taking both of them, the nun and the devil possessing her. Then she shows up at the asylum in a later episode and shanks people, which lead me to believe she now had the devil in her. So was the devil still in her when she kissed Jude? Is Jude now possessed? If not, when did the devil leave the angel of death?

Yep.
In a way. They could have had two AHS. One that finishes this story line....And then another one that goes off another story line.
CSI New York/CSI Miami ya know

I dont care that the show is disjointed at times and has plot holes and has too many plots going on at once.....its still just a cool fricking show.
It's different from anything else on TV and super stylistic.
I love it
