When the angel of death woman kissed the devil nun, she said that she was taking both of them, the nun and the devil possessing her. Then she shows up at the asylum in a later episode and shanks people, which lead me to believe she now had the devil in her. So was the devil still in her when she kissed Jude? Is Jude now possessed? If not, when did the devil leave the angel of death?
By that point Sister Jude was imagining all kinds of stuff. She saw the prison transfer woman as the Angel of Death. She was also imagining Pepper the whole time she was "smart" as well as Father Timothy still being there.

You completely mistook that entire part.
The prisoner was never the Angel of Death. Jude was driven insane by fear so she hallucinated the Angel of Death being that prisoner and all of her roommates. It distrorted her sense of time and sanity.
It was actually a pretty cool look into the mind of a crazy person because what Jude is saying is true and we know it as an audience, but you can also see how the guards/visitors/head master saw it differently.
Makes you think you could become insane one day and never realize it.

Sister Jude was an abusive old witch, but it wasn't fun watching her go mad, and her recovery with its setbacks and eventual death at Kit's made for some pretty damn good TV all in all. Jessica Lange still got it.

This season definately wasn't as good as the first but it was still damn good. IWH Jessica Lange eventhough she has 40 years on me. Can't wait until next season. Now I have nothing to watch til Walking Dead returns

Thanks, that does make more sense now.

When Pepper came back with Grace, she was intelligent... She was talking to Arden and even explained to someone about the murders being blamed on her.
That was before Jude went completely nuts

Yep...apparently many viewers watch this show and attemp to find twist where there are none.
Plenty enough going on without manufacturing far reaching plot twist.

The things which made the final 3-4 episodes so brilliant were directly antagonistic to the average AHS fan who tuned in for Nazi doctor and Satan nun. Which were also awesome, but the surprising depth this season found in its back third was staggering, and almost like a different piece of TV entirely.
yeah totally agreed. i loved the random brain junk food of the first 75% of the season and really liked how it ended.
i think i was creeped out a bit more watching season 1, but didn't like the ending.
season 2, it was a like a beer, bacon, and ice cream sandwich for most of the way but in the end it just ended up playing out beautifully.
i was pleasantly surprised. not every episode needs to be a "haunted house" type experience.

Disagree times eleventy billion
The finale was a great episode, but it didn't make up for the previous 5-6 episodes that were shite.
