Am I the only one confused with all the similar names used in House of Dragon?

They tossed in Joffrey cause that was the name of the Laenor’s dude he was banging I believe. At least it was in the books.

The time jumps are kind of drastic. I wonder if it will settle down or will the story always move at this pace? I have not read the books. They obviously decided that this was better then going into greater detail in each time frame.

Aegon, Viserys, Aemon, Baelon, Aemond all get reused a ton in the Targaryen family. Daenerys, Rhaena Baella also on the female side.
