Who booked a room temperature IQ kid as an engineer “apprentice” on a spaceship? One who doesn’t even know or understand what apprentice means. Right.
And what the hell is up with Mr. Teng? How is he even on the ship? What purpose does he serve?
(Other than to openly fantasize about one of his crew members)

Morrow is the lone competent member on the ship and I will credit them for having turned him from what looked to be a villain into a likable character? Don’t know yet, but holy hell here’s an alternative idea… Send a small crew of competent and professional, loyal crew members to do the job properly. Instead of a bumbling crowd of morons, who are “expendable“ and will likely cause the absolute worst case scenario.

As an Alien fanboy I’m enjoying the shite out of this show. Sure, I can nitpick, but it’s very well done and entertaining.

Agreed. It's been a pretty cool watch. Kinda is making me want to watch through the other Alien movies again.

Seek out whatever it is you think makes this show “good”.
I can compliment some actors who are doing a really good job. The sets are spot on. Aesthetics are great. But the story & a bulk of the writing for most characters is embarrassingly bad.
This isn’t Rings of Power, Acolyte terrible. But it’s so needlessly poorly written that it deserves my “effort” to trash where I feel it’s necessary.
Discuss it & maybe my mind will be changed.

I'm enjoying the series. Don't have any issues with the story or acting as some have complained about. My only critique is the xenomorph looks a little silly at times when the full body is on screen. Has a guy in costume vibe. Also looks too small.

I think the show has been really fun. What it lacks in pure storytelling it's making up for with crazy alien action. Solid 7/10 for me which is just about what I expected.

Someone brought up the US space marines from Aliens.
If the big 5 corporations own & run the planet, effectively, how is there still a U.S. marine corps?
* A:E predates Aliens so did the U.S. Space Marines get a reboot?

This show is more entertaining than 99% of tv right now. Episode 5 was great. You have to be a real autist not to enjoy this.

Also really enjoying the actor playing Morrow. He’s doing a great job.

This episode actually felt like an alien movie, really enjoyed it. Easily my favorite so far.

I thought I was kind of crazy when I saw that. How did someone else not notice how bad some shots make it look?
Still a good show, last episode lost me a little but I'm not abandoning it.

I'm so interested in the eyeball monster. I was watching a video on it during lunch. Pretty interesting how intelligent it is how it acts and reacts. Then how it just attacked the xeno. I'm hoping they explore it further but only three more episodes

I am on episode 4 and I have really like this series. Watching the brother talk to Wendy in beginning of episode 4 and he reminds me of Bud from Marry with Children and now I cannot unsee it.

The first episode was convoluted and boring to me… just my two cents.
If it doesn’t improve I understand the negative reviews I’ve seen.

I have had some complaints, but episode 4 ties some things together.
It’s a flashback episode but an actual very good one.
Probably my favorite episode of TV this year.

They probably have the bottom of the barrel in each profession.
If you were running a company with that precious and rare a cargo, would you risk manning it with mouth breathers? Or would you make it worth their while, and sweeting the pot to ensure their families are at least well taken care of, financially. No, it doesn't replace the time lost but it could be the difference in getting your ship home or not.

I get that but which doctor or engineer is gonna need money? If you get one of those in a financial hardship, they weren’t in a right mind to begin with.
Show has its issues with casting and writing but I just enjoy a show they put effort into the set, camera, and environment. There are some great actors and moments so I just turn my brain off on eye rolling moments.
Wheel of time just got on my last nerve and had to quit haha
