I think the people that watched Rebels are loving this series. Everyone who hasn't watched that series is probably a bit indifferent.
Probably true but personally I’ve only watched a few eps of CW and Rebels and have really enjoyed this series

He gave it to her. It’s not his anymore

Worst episode of the series. WTF is with Jedis not wanting to take their lightsaber? Very underwhelming fight scenes, I said it before, but the only character I care about is Baylan which is ashamed as I was a Rebels fan.
I was thinking Disney might have something prior to this episode, now I’m convinced they are going to Disney and end this poorly.
What?

Tieing this series with Mandolorian Season 3, so now we know what timeline this was.
I read a theory out there also saying this. Go back in that season when mando and grogu encounter the whales in hyperspace, he’s actually sensing Ashoka force presences as they’re leaving the galaxy than being awed by the whales.

Not using the lightsaber kind of fits his personality. Ezra isn't really a Jedi and has always been a little different. Understanding the force is more important to him than mastering a light saber.

I thought it was pretty cool when he stops her swing with his hand and you can see the force distort the lightsaber

What was the tie-in? I don't recall noting that.

Mentioning Gideion on Mandalore during Hera’s hearing

They brought up Moff Gideon and Mandalore.

Ezra gets mad when he finds out what Sabine gave up.
I’m glad this wasn’t the case because it would be a fricking retarded thing to get mad about considering he left a vague recording basically begging Sabine to bring him home before he left and then has since mentioned multiple times how excited is to go home.

At Hera's Tribunal. The Xwing pilot mentions the battle at Mandolore and Gideons defeat.

Spot on. Rebels is Filoni's baby and this is the next step. Tough to follow without having watched that

Solid episode.
Seeing Ezra fight was awesome.
As it’s been pointed out, I don’t see how they close out all these different story lines, unless this last episode is 2 hours long.
Have a feeling we will get some minor answers, but this season will end with some major cliffhangers.

I'm assuming it's going to be the standard 45 minutes.
We'll see Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine make it aboard Thrawn's ship before it leaves
We'll see the love of my life also find her way back on Thrawn's ship before it leaves
We'll see Thrawn's ship dock with the hyperspace ring and head out
My biggest question is what will happen to Baylan. The actor's dead now so they can't leave his story open ended. I just don't see a good way to close his story out. Does he find this mythical power amd it just splats him?

If Disney can’t recognize that Filoni needs to have creative control over all things Star Wars then I don’t know what to say.
I expect a cliffhanger next episode, this show was always setting up that big Mandoverse movie in a few years.

For anyone that played the original SW: Knights of the Old Republic, there’s a little Easter egg. When Thrawns fighters fall in behind Ashoka’s starship, you hear a quick rift of the music that plays to begin the shooter mini game. Gave me a smile.

I was a little disappointed when Ezra didn’t use his lightsaber but it was cool seeing him use the force to fight. I have a feeling he let Sabine keep his saber because he truly views it as hers now and she needs it to complete her Jedi journey. I think he’ll make a new one eventually and use it only to fight Thrawn then retire it after he’s done and settle somewhere and live a peaceful life outside of the Jedi, focusing on his connection to the Force more than anything else

Couple observations:
1) Rebels is damn good for "a children's cartoon". It's really tying things together, painting the background leading up to the OT, and bringing things into alignment between the Prequels and the Empire/Rebellion conflict.
2) Ahsoka seems like it is a straight continuation of that tale (which I haven't finished yet, although I do know from searching online the conclusion).
3) Sabine looks well-cast, as does Mon Mothma, and we previously agreed Ahsoka was. I have no issue with Ezra, the guy does sound like him. I've seen some folks, maybe here, bitch a little that he looks Arabic or Mediterranean, but Ep 1 of Rebels seemed to portray him as Aladdin in Space (street rat, etc). So I don't mind that at all.
As noted in Mando threads, Bo-Katan is also cast well.
Hera, on the other hand, doesn't look right. Too green, everything including her eyes should be olive. It's not a fatal issue, but it could have been done better.
3) a drawback to the live-action (which is admittedly fantastic to see), is the shorter season. You get 15-20 episodes in the animated version, we're getting 8 with this.
This may be 'corrected' if you carry things back to Mandalorian, in a smoothly done fashion.
And Andor- at this point, I suspect we see Agent Callus in season 2 of that, and maybe a little bit of Thrawn too. If you go by the timeline, I assume we may see some overlap of early Rebels seasons with that.
4) I don't see how you pull any of this over to the sequel trilogy

All roads lead to Jake Skywalker…sadly.
