What the hell happened on the Pirates set that made Zoe Saldana straight refuse to ever be involved w/those movies again?
She gets a ship at the end of the first movie, is a legit star they can push in ads, and has a long list of action roles making it east to accept her as an arse kicking pirate. It's crazy to me that they don't just center a movie on what happens to her after she gets her own ship.

Black people seem to make mostly slavery movies. Except Jordan Peele who makes slavery movies disguised as horror movies.. love Peele's movies though.

I saw this, and if Depp truly has no desire to do another Pirates movie, then she is not a bad choice to take over the franchise. A great actress who is a former standup and has been good in comedies.

I hate her in the Bear. That could be intentional to how her character is supposed to be, but I've got a feeling I'd hate her in anything she's in.

She's the worst part of The Bear. Every other actor kills it, but she seems relatively untalented by comparison. And if Disney actually thinks that SHE can replace Depp and Jack Sparrow and the movie will make even 50% of what a flick with him back would earn, then Musk should just be given the company for free.

I haven’t watched CotBP in so long I didn’t even realize she was the lady pirate in it. She wasn’t really big time until a few years later, but this is a great shout that ties into canon history. Plus, Zoe has been awesome for years now.

Yeah I doubt this gets made even if this rumor has a basis. I don’t think there is any demand for another Pirates movie, let alone for one like this. This might be like the endless Star Wars movie projects that get announced then forgotten.
