I thought it was great and it’s my favorite horror movie in i don’t know how long.

I’m going to get blasted for this but this really did remind me of Alien.

This movie is like the lovechild of Alien and The Last of Us.

Some things I didn’t like.

The girl annoyed me. Yes, she’s an emotional teenager but if she didn’t screw up, a lot of issues in this movie didn’t happen. Part of that is the father’s mistakes but whatever. She abandoned her heavily pregnant mother to go mope around.

The fricking nail in the stairs really really fricking drove me crazy. A mother with children who all walk around barefoot would fix that nail with a quickness. Even after she stepped on it, she didn’t do anything about it.

I didn’t really care for the creature design. I think that creature design has been dreadfully lacking in movies in recent years and there’s nothing interesting about these creatures.

Quickest birth scene ever. Maybe I missed something but that baby came out really quickly. It’s a good thing she wasn’t in labor for awhile.

I didn’t love the very ending. I thought the ending was a little too obvious and simplistic. I would have been more satisfied if the characters had to work a little more to find the weakness or exploit the weakness.

Also, one thing I missed. When the basement is flooding, how did the lid come off the baby’s box?

Absolutely loved it anyway. Go see it.

I actually tweeted John Krasinski last night and told him, "Screw the Dark Angel echo monsters, the stair nail is the most terrifying thing in the movie".

My wife was upset that the dad didn't figure it out sooner.

Yeah, I kinda have a feeling a lot is cut out of the movie.

No, but he’s excellent. Best performance in the movie by far imho.

Yeah, I figured for sure they'd get you up to speed in the first 2 mins with the news footage montage they show in the TV commercials, but none of that was anywhere to be found in the whole film. Maybe John K figured it dumbed down the plot too much.

I just saw the girl is deaf in real life. Impressive. While her character annoyed me, she did give a good performance as well.

The impression I got was that the kids weren’t allowed there.

The closing scene was the girl’s first time there ever.

Ditto.

And I find it hard to believe that 5 seconds after the realization of how they hunted they wouldn’t have tried to use sonic weapons already designed and lying around to defend themselves while they weaponize/upsize more.

The bigger source of confusion for me is that the screen is shot as if she pulled it up tugging on the bag.

But how the sharp end pointed upward then?

Stole the movie. The suspense on who or what the fuq was going to get the nail was awesome.

Loved the movie the first 20 mins you could barely hear a pin drop in theater. Someone sneezed behind us and everyone jumped.

And I'm not quite sure how they were supposed to get rid of it w/out making any noise...I guess they could've bent it down with plyers

Twice some dude’s phone rang.

Second time I heckled “THEY ARE GOING TO GET YOU!” to some general chuckles

Not quite sure why one would make up tweeting at a celebrity, but okay. Feel free to believe what you'd like. I just saw it on my own page.

Good to see scary movies that are different with good stories and acting in them.
