my 18 YO son and his friends all bought tickets... like 10 of them. they know it will be terrible, but are happy to live out their younger years on film with Jack Black.

i expect this will be like Jumanji or Dungeons and Dragons. Crowd Pleasing shlop. and that's OK.

Already sounds like some of the miserable adults that post on here.

I love D&D but let’s not pretend like it was gangbusters review or box office.

That had more to do with WOTC and the OTP debacle directly prior to the movies release than the quality of the movie. DnD fans were actively protesting the company at the time and refused to go see the movie in theaters.

The third act was a little weak but overall better than I would have expected

Steve’s Lava Chicken is an awesome song

Took the kids and all of us loved it. The theater was pretty packed and the audience was way into it. I can’t remember going to see a movie with the audience cheering and repeating the lines. Lots of teens there and having a great time. My kids enjoyed the movie and fun atmosphere.

We’re fans of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre and the same quirky sensibilities carried through.

10/10 just good clean fun. No preachiness or forced messages. Legit funny stuff throughout.

My niece has been counting die for this movie since we saw the first trailers at another movie. So, we’ll be seeing it as well.

They did start very average. Presales exploded the final week before release. All the trades had it opening about half of this total

Could hit a billion with just decent legs. I'm happy for theaters. They desperately needed a hit.

100%.

I also don’t think people realized how massive the Minecraft IP is with kids. It’s right up there with Mario in todays generation.
