I could be wrong but I think there is a second Blackfyre Rebellion before Robert's Rebellion.

Maekar must carry the weight that he’s the heir after living in his brother’s shadow,

Baelor's Son is the new Heir, Not Maekar.

I think your overall point is correct. They just tried to wrap up the stories of every character and pint to where they are off to next.

Right my bad forgot Baelor’s son. Assume something happens to him since we know Egg becomes king one day.

knight of the nine kingdoms title card was a nice add.

I loved that they had an explicit talk about it. I’m sure weve all at some point in our GoT fandom asked the 7 kingdom question and there are probably dozens of YouTube videos on it.

Why would Dunk deny the brother? Seems like a much better life.

My opinion is that Dunk has been resoundingly disabused of what he thought highborn families and knights were supposed to be. He couldn’t find anyone who would vouch for him (and most were condescending assholes when they told him no), Aerion’s various misbehaviors, and then the one house asking him to rig the competition.

Dunk genuinely believes that hedge knights might be the only ones that actually behave knightly.

A 32 minute finale. What horseshite is this?! That being said i can honestly say they made the most out of every minute… even the flashbacks seem like theyre done efficiently.

They’re short stories. This first season was “The Hedge Knight”. The trial/death of Prince Baelor was the climax of “Hedge Knight”. There wasn’t much left after that.

If they follow the book, the next season will be “The Sworn Sword”.

I’m obviously not a book reader or very smart, but was lyonel Baratheon hitting on Dunk? Was he asking him to come be his butt boy?

Lyonel clearly swings whichever way the door is blowing that day, but I don't think that was his intention. Lords typically keep knights in their employ that live in their castle. Lyonel specifically made that comment about war coming. I think he genuinely wants Dunk in his employ because 1.) Dunk clearly has massive potential to be a warrior for the ages, 2.) Lyonel has a code of honor at his core and sees that in Dunk, and 3.) they just clicked as friends.

Book Lyonel wasn't gay. He had his son with him at this tournament, but I wouldn't be surprised if HBO made him gay. As is, he was good but not the Laughing Storm I was expecting.

I'm still pissed that Dunk didn't warn his trial of seven bro that he was in the clutches of a lying whore. Dude befriended Dunk when he had no friends, got him fed, hung out and gave him cider. When Dunk was arrested, Ray waited in the rain with his horses and he served as fight doctor after winning rookie of the year in the trial of seven.

And now, Dunk is just going to let him be cuck-daddy for Manfred Dondarrion's literal red-haired bastard child.

That is so deeply wrong. They need to rectify that in the future.

It was nice to see how the Targs were viewed outside of the "great houses." Helps fill out the context as more than just Robert and the Starks standing up to the Mad King.

Great finale.

Hope the tone continues in following seasons. I am worried after the next 2-3 seasons since GRRM doesn’t have anything written and only loosely has outlines for the two after that. But as long as he stays as involved as he was this past season they’ll be ok

As we know, Dunk is not very bright. After being told by Maekar that Egg couldn't accompany him as a hedge knight, Dunk completely trusts Egg’s “yeah, dad said it’s OK”, and they ride off.

I liked the last scene. 3 horses ride off and one takes a hard left on another path. It was like when planes fly the missing man formation. Love this show.

Exactly. This is why i can't believe that Maekar didnt really give him permission and he was only acting like he didnt know where he was. It doesnt make sense for egg to lie and get Dunk in shite again.

Yes it does. Thats Egg's character. He's sneaky and lies to manipulate people to get his way. Not in any type of evil way but in a "bad" little kid kind of way.
