Apparently they also couldn’t add more to the fight scene because of the budget.

Another reason to embrace AI. Nobody would've been able to tell if 20-30 seconds were AI rendered to save cash

Hopefully we get some other POVs in the next episode as they show who lived and died.

I’ll say this too, I know some found the sudden flashback a little jarring but it was a great depiction of Flea Bottom. In the original series it hardly looked different than the rest of the city. In House of the Dragon, it almost looked like the fun place to be - the place where everyone in the city partied and had a good time. This show depicts it as the actual shite hole that I think it’s meant to be.

I immediately thought the exact same thing.

Also, the girl had what was coming to her. She kept stealing that Gold Cloak's shite. She FA'd one too many times and finally FO.

I haven't read the books, so curious to see if next episode shows how the king reacts to Aerion's actions resulting in a trial by combat with the lives of 4 Targaryen princes on the line, resulting in the death of the heir to the iron throne and multiple dead kings guardsmen.

The only people who died were Baelor and the Humphreys. Everyone on Aerion's side lived.

I doubt we see anything from the current king, but I certainly hope we get some good fallout from Maekar.

It’s pretty much Egg’s fault when you think about it.

I know. But Aerion’s accusation and demand for a trial by 7 ended up with Baelor, Maekor, Aerion, and Daeron all being involved in combat. King can’t be too happy when he hears the 4 princes all had their lives on the line because Aerion was acting like a jackass.

And are we sure that all 3 kings guard survive? (No book spoilers please)

Yes. Ray gives Dunk the full rundown when he askes if anyone died. Hardying anf Beesbury died on the first pass, and Baelor died later. Daeron took a dive as promised, so Lyonel and Ser Robyn held off the 3 KG by themselves.

In fact, people who have read the books say there was more stuff in the battle that was not covered.

I read the books and I disagree. If anything they extended the fight scene further than the books.

The only episode with a synopses posted ahead or air time.

The people of Ashford mourn a significant loss following the tournament; Dunk reflects on his future and evaluates his responsibilities toward Egg; he decides whether to keep the boy as his squire.
Some more love for uber-bro Raymun Fossaway. Excuse me, Ser Raymun Fossaway

There’s allegedly a post-credits scene for tonight’s episode.

It was a good little wrap up. Predictable, but I enjoyed it

Its not really post credits, its right after the episode when the title pops up. Didnt see anything after the credits finished.

Well done HBO. AKOTSK was the fresh breath of life needed for the GOT realm. Now get to steppin on Season 2 before Egg’s balls drop, and it better have 10 episodes at 45 mins a piece bare minimum.
