I'm fine with the idea of a dragon being converted and being responsible for tearing down the magic wall.

The way they executed it was just bad. Real, real bad.

what they should have done is have it be brans fault that the wall fails

that really would have given him an amazing story

I probably would have had the Night King curse Bran and Bran passing passing back under the Wall is what brings it down.
exactly…
or, have bran know that he can’t cross the wall now, and thus has to stay north. He melds with a tree (which should have happened anyway) and directs traffic from there, including letting Jon know who he actually is, giving Jon a visual of what danaerys will once she finds out, etc etc

there we just fixed the show

The problem is Bran being King is the ending GRRM gave D&D. He just doesn’t know how to get there.

because it’s nonsensical in the context of everything that comes before. Forget about prophecy and all that other bullshite. It doesn’t even make narrative sense

The show had been on a slow decline, understandably, but that was the episode that sent it off the rails.

Resurrecting Viserion in itself was a cool scene, but the episode overall was just completely ridiculous. I could rant for quite a while just how dumb everything about that episode was.

At least gave him a purpose. You can tell they just put him on there to get woke points for having somebody in a wheelchair

A common occurrence in that last season or two: cool ideas, scenes, or visuals but made 0 sense or had little payoff.

The dragon/Dothraki vs the Lannister army, the Dothraki charging the undead and their lights going out one by one, Jon being named King in the North.

This describes most choices of D&D from season 6 onward.

You’re a dumbass because that is widely considered the best season of the series.

And how did they make that chain?

i said that seven years ago

my wife got tired of me saying things like
who made the white walker's armor?
who made their weapons?
WHO MADE THEIR CLOTHES?

Euron better hope his Valyrian steel suit has a better codpiece than Aegon’s.

Jon (the King of the fricking North) going north of the Wall to capture a wight to convince a batshit crazy Cersei to join his side is still the single dumbest moment of the show.

Hold on. That’s pretty stiff competition.
Rhaegal‘s death was pretty damn stupid and bad. Just cruising at high altitude and gets whacked with spears from a fricking ship.

Did we ever get the backstory on where the Walkers got those heavy arse chains?

Maybe they salvaged a broken scythe from run down parts of the Wall.

were they carrying that much chain with them just in case?

I figure they stole one of those big arse chains that carry the giant blades on the wall at one of the abandoned castles.

ETA: yeah I didn’t bother reading the posts before I posted
