P. Xavier is the brain dead twin of Charles Xavier. To escape death, Xavier transferred his mind to the body P. Xavier, who was under the care of Dr. Moira MacTaggert at Muir Island.
Was he also a paraplegic?

Ugh no. It's pretty clear that the Xavier-Magneto relationship changed and just because Rogue showed up means nothing in that regard. Maybe they reached out to her sooner. Who knows, but it's pretty safe to say that things in the new timeline for these characters are at least 99% different.
Nope. All that we know is what we saw in that brief segment at the end of the movie. And if we're basing our predictions off of what has happened in the previous movies... Xavier and Magneto have a love/hate relationship that never seems to remain in the love quadrant for any length of time.

It's pretty clear that things have changed. Don't really know what to tell you, but it was made clear as day.

What was made clear as day was that Xavier and Magneto did not part as friends at the end of the 1973 portion of the story. Magneto was a villain on the run.

I guess if you base it off the fact that Jean a and Cyclops are still alive, perhaps. Maybe there is not much conflict, but I can see them still being at odds on how to acclimate the world to mutants.

how was mystique the key to the new sentinels anyway? She's never been able to replicate the powers of others like they could do

That's something I thought of too!
It's like they were robots made from Mystique's and Rogue's powers (sort of).

They seemed like machines that were constantly evolving. Maybe they learned that when they got to Rogue.

Wasn't she cured before he "died"? IIRC she was cast aside before all of that.
Talking about in X2 when they knew the dam was about to break, but they leave Charles there to die in order for him to wipe out every human.

that would have been after the gov't had snagged her and experimented on her arse.
she was pretty much in frick everyone mode after that.

And The_Hornet is clearly GCA.

Oh I don't doubt that. But I don't think Magneto is as openly hostile as was in earlier movies. Then again, he may not still be alive in the new timeline.

my biggest problem with DOFP is that Mystique is kicking more arse than Wolverine. IMO, this should never ever happen.
also, i really wish they would have had a good fight between Wolverine and Magneto seeing as this is Wolverine's only real chance to take on Magneto without a ton of metal holding him back.
One other thing, I really liked the mutant that helped Magneto escape but I cannot recall who he was. He's got slightly different powers than Wolverine's black buddy in Origins. His scene was one of the best in the movie, i thought.

Quicksilver. Quicksilver is basically Flash. The black guy in Wolverine was a teleporter so he's more similar to Nightcrawler.

oh damn. i forgot about him. the silver hair should have given it away but i'm just too damn old nowadays.

I hate to start this debate, but wouldn't Quicksilver be the strongest mutant out of all of them seeing as he can basically manipulate time depending on how fast he runs?
ETA: What is Quicksilver's weakness?

Well, it wasn't about Wolverine. It was about Xavier and Mystique's relationship. That's where the heart of the story is.

But Wolverine would never stand a chance in hell against Magneto. Wolverine can take a beating, but his power levels aren't even close to Magneto's. The only major mutants in the film franchise who could feasibly take down Magneto in a one on one fight are Xavier, Storm, Jean Grey, Quicksilver, and Sebastian Shaw.

I just wikied him and while I didn't see any notable/unique weaknesses, but really, outside of the speed, there is nothing else unique about him. He can still die just like humans, he is just very very fast.

in the right scenario (ie no metal around) Wolverine would whoop Magneto's arse. I thought that this movie almost setup an opportunity for Wolverine to get a piece of Magneto. It's something we'll never see in the modern Xmen universe, so i was hoping they'd throw us a boneclaw
