Why do people think buying cars is what makes people go broke? He's made 36 million in his career and has a contract for 75 mill over the next 3 years. Spending a million on cars(Realistically probably cost half that) is nothing.
I think it's because most people can assume this isn't the only thing he is spending money on.
And it's not like none of these athletes ever go broke. It's more common than not

How many starving g kids in his home country could he help with that wasted money.

Tuesday's ride should void contract without the team having to pay him.

ok so thats roughly 90 million, between taxes and agent fees he gets half of that. I guarantee you he can go through 45 mil in no time flat.

Someone who drives to work in a different car every day isn't making the best financial decisions.

The Mets' Spring Training Facility is in South Florida, just north of West Palm Beach. Given this, plus the fact that Yoenis Cespedes is a Cuban national, he might have a home in South Florida. Assuming my drunken hypothesis is true, it wouldn't be terribly difficult to get these cars from Point A to Point B... at least not as expensive as you would think.
Given what he's spent on cars (these four cars, with the upgrades, total about a $1 million), I would be interested to see what else he's spending his [nearly] $25 million/year salary on.
