I saw where they had Paul Goldschmidt leading off the other day. There is no rational human who would do that, so it had to be the computer.
The Yankees have long been a team of poor roster construction. They go out and overpay for a bunch of "hit ball real far or strikeout" guys. And sometimes they get hot and go on a run, but over the long haul it just does not work and they can't understand it.

My family has been Yankee fanatics since the 40s, I was named after a Yankee, I was raised on the Yankees. I’ve never seen anything like what’s happened since The Boss passed away. Even during the stretch between 78-96 we won more games than any team in the 80s, it was just a lot tougher to qualify for the post season then. What’s happened under Cashman and Hal is a disgrace.

I really don’t like the Yankees, I vehemently dislike their fans, and the new Yankee stadium is my least favorite MLB stadium currently (the old one wasn’t bad). In fact if most Yankee fans were honest they’d admit the old Yankee stadium was way better than this new shitty concrete heat trap.
That said, calling Yankees fans bad sports fans is just not correct. They’re toxic, obnoxious, arrogant, entitled, and all around shitty.
But they always, always show up to be toxic, obnoxious, arrogant, entitled, and all around shitty across the country in other stadiums, as well as the shitty new Yankee stadium.

The question is why is the fan base that way? Oh 27 World Series titles and 41 World Series appearances……. If a player doesn’t want to play for the winningest franchise in MLB history because there’s a pressure to win, I question the competitiveness of the player. Any player who wouldn’t want to play in Yankee stadium wearing pinstripes because of pressure is soft.
