Foles has one more year on his contract. I'm certain they will trade him. He won then a SuperBowl... the least they could do is send him to a decent team.

This game wouldn’t have been close if Wentz was playing

Didn't Philly trade a shite load of picks to move up in the draft to get Wentz at #2? There's no mother fricking way, no chance in hell they put Foles over Wentz when they have their entire future invested in him. Foles is still definitely a starter for at least 50-60% of NFL teams.

I’ll bet you any amount of money you want that Wentz is their starter next season

so, Wentz would've made the Patriots punt?

The only way Wentz doesn't start week 1 is if he is still hurt

Will Cain had a good hypothetical on his show Friday - it you're the Eagles, would you trade Wentz for a guaranteed win in the SB?

you would, but you won that Super Bowl now... Foles will be 30 and you'll be doing him bad if you leave him on the bench as opposed to playing somewhere else

I'd be shocked if Foles isn't starting week 1 next year.

I mean, he'll be starting, but if you mean for the Eagles, I hope you don't have a weak heart.

The remaining 3 years of his contract are voided if he is on the Eagles roster in Feb 2019, and he becomes a FA. No way the Eagles are paying Wentz and the SB MVP big bucks.

And they aren't getting rid of the guy that started over the MVP, who, let's not forget, has been largely mediocre outside of Philly.

Someone is going to sell the farm for Foles this offseason.

If the difference in talent is close enough that the question even needs to be asked in the salary cap era you always take the quarterback on the rookie contract over the high priced veteran.

This is assuming Wentz is ready to play at the start of next year. As a Chiefs fan I've had plenty of experience with team doctors being lousy at judging the severity of knee injuries so I would doubt anything is done before the draft at the earliest.

Foles has been around awhile, this run doesnt change who is just like that postseason didnt make Joe Flacco the next Peyton.

Trade Foles now while you can get a lot for him.

His post season run is going to be legendary. He didnt dink and dunk it. He made great throws all over the field. Someone is going to pay big time for that. He is no scrub.
If I were the GM of the Cardinals, I would be on the phone with Philly this morning.

I kind of think the smart thing would be to hang on to Foles as a backup in case Wentz takes too many steps back from his injury.

Could probably trade him come Week 4 to a team who thinks they’re a QB upgrade away from making a serious run (Jacksonville if Bortles turns back to his former self).

This thread didn’t go over like you thought it would did it?

Wentz was in discussion for league mvp before he went down. Probably should just delete this thread

Not saying he's a scrub but if you're Philly you keep Wentz and don't even have to think all that hard about it.

Was Wentz going to throw a TD every play or something?

Because while Wentz>>>>>Foles, Foles played close to a perfect game last night.
