people in Seattle aren't now convinced to go watch Sounders over the Seahawks.
The problem with your thinking is that you, like many others, for some reason think you have to choose between football or soccer. Nobody does that with basketball. You don’t have to choose.

I watch soccer, and football, and college football, and basketball, and baseball, etc.

They don’t have to choose the Sounders over the Seahawks. They can watch both of them.

Tried. The worst injury ever flopping every 20 seconds only to miraculously be fine 3 seconds after getting up makes it very difficult to watch.

Not as bad as the NBA.

The US won’t take over soccer until more of our black athletes start participating. Imagine a World Cup team that has athletes like LeBron, Floyd Mayweather, Lamar Jackson, etc on it. We’d never lose a game.

Soccer is as gay as the WNBA
Sadly both have been less gay than watching Florida Gator Football the past decade or so

You’re so full of shite. You didn’t “try” you wanted to hate something and you went with the thing that’s popular to say. You couldn’t use “boring” “no scoring” so you went the old tried and true.

And I say that as someone that loves the sport.

At least they are starting to review and penalize the flopping.

That’s just nonsense.

If the US were to ever win the World Cup, the meltdown of the rest of the world would be the most joyful event of all time.

You can hate soccer, but that comment is wild.

Soccer needs to have the scoreboard and then the scoreboard for Americans underneath it where goals count as 7 points.

I agree. The best American athletes don’t play soccer. If they did, we could compete with the best.

That’s just how it is. But, soccer is slowly getting more popular so we are slowly becoming more competitive.

I watched it last night. Not really a soccer fan. Can appreciate the athletes. Watched it because it's Team USA.

I want Team USA to win it to watch the rest of the world melt because, for the most part, Americans don't care about soccer. Would be glorious.

I won’t say it’ll never happen but it won’t be any time soon. But it would be the greatest win as a country of all time if we ever pull it off

Changing the amount of points a goal is worth does not change the fact that soccer is boring for most of the match. And that is why most americans dont care for soccer. There is no doubt that a goal or attempted goal is exciting, but there is just so much ‘down time’ during a soccer match which is boring.
Football, there are all kinds of exciting plays that happen throughout. Even when there are no points scored. Thats why it’s a bad comparison to football. Has nothing to do with the scoring system.

Completely disagree. A US World Cup win would go nuclear on every European country.

The level of shite talking from the Americans would start wars.
