Yeah, I'm not a big fan of LSU's purple jerseys. They look okay with the white helmet. Auburn doesn't do much with the uniform, but a few years ago, we opened in ATL with some God awful orange cleats and orange sleeves everywhere. I don't think they've worn orange cleats since.

You say this, then later posted a pic of an old Cardinals away uniform with the same pant style as a "good and traditional" example. Like someone else pointed out, those waistbands were a thing in that era.
I actually don't think those Pirates unis are that great, but they are far from the worst. It seems like you mostly have a problem with the hats and the color yellow.
