Who had/is having the worst start to their MLB career?
Through first 7 games……

Player A: 1-25, 14K’s, .040avg
Player B: 1-36, 8k’s, .036avg

Probably player A considering he had nearly double the K in 11 less AB with the same amount of hits.

That can’t both be 7 games. No way one got 36 at bats in 7 games

No. 1/32 with his first hit coming after starting 0-17. He ended up hitting .264 that season, so he finished that year going 52/169 (.308)

Bregman has two rings and a silver slugger, so I doubt he cares about how he started.

Anyway, the Orioles should probably send Holliday back down if he's still K'ing at this rate next week, right?

Willie Mays started something like 1-26 too.

Mickey Mantle bombed at the start of his career, too.

I’d like to know the RBI’s and OBP of each player during those spans

Both were brought up too late not too early. They were red hot in the minors and brought up right as they were slumping a bit in comparison.

He was about a year and a half older and had about a season’s worth of more post high school experience before getting called up. Holliday had 2 years of pro ball, Bregman had 3 seasons of college ball and a few months of pro ball. Bregman was barely 22 when called up. Holliday will be 21 in December

I went to the Twins/Orioles game on Monday, he smoked the ball in his first two at bats, but right at the fielders. He did strike out in his 3rd bat

didn’t the Yankees cheat as well? Should’ve done it better. Houston has owned the Yanks in post season play
