This. Hell no, Louisiana can't keep minor league baseball teams. New Orleans and Shreveport had them in the past.

The day the Saints move to another state can't come fast enough

Personally, I would love for it to happen but I don’t think there would be sufficient fan support and it would end up being a massive drain on the state.

I agree 100%. Although I think there’s a version of reality in which Louisiana would be a great host, starting with the 4th largest city in the country not existing so close and the foothold the Braves have across the south not existing.

New Orleans does not care about baseball. Baton Rouge not nearly big enough, and has LSU. Nola isn't big enough for it either.

No. But we do support NFL and can support NBA unfortunately PELS are terrible but it is fun to go when they were competitive and in the playoffs. SKC about to get a major renovation

New Orleans is by far a Saints city first, LSU football 2nd, Pels 3rd, Tulane football 4th. At least my interactions have been that LSU football is more followed than Pels basketball.

If anything get a Double AA Team and play in the Southern League with Biloxi and Pensacola. Shuckers do well in Biloxi. That is usually where the wife and I go for our Baseball fix. Part of that would be building a new stadium. Somewhere along the river near the convention Center possibly?

No. Hate to admit it but it New Orleans didn't have the Quarter for big events close to the stadium they wouldn't have NFL either.

No. The city really can't even support having a NBA franchise. If they didn't have the Saints they wouldn't have had the chance to get the Hornets.

Never is a long time.

But it won't happen anytime soon. Not enough television sets in the area (revenue is based primarily on the local TV market size). You'd need a dome or retractable roof with the climate which raises the cost. Public transit isn't good enough and there isn't enough parking for 81 games a year.
