Because this is America and also because paying the national anthem before every single sports game is idiotic and cheapens the anthem so who really cares

I'm more disgusted by the NFL disallowing the Cowboys to pay tribute to the slain officers by wearing the little helmet sticker. Yet they'll be the first to sell millions in pink merchandise to "raise breast cancer awareness."

They only do that b/c they can't make a buck off the police tribute.

All of that pink shite they sell for breast cancer? They keep the vast majority of the money from that stuff. Hardly any of it goes to actual cancer aid.

While we're talked about the NFL only caring if they can profit, the same thing goes for the big arse patriotic displays w/things like giant flags on Thanksgiving and the military getting honored. They charge the US gov't to do that shite.

Riley Cooper wants to know why his constitutional rights didn't extend to his attendance of a concert.

The NFL didn't fine him because the team already did. It's the same damned thing. The NFL is a grouping of individual teams, and you are playing semantics by not acknowledging that the NFL (the teams), the 49ers, can do something about his statements and actions.

You simply don't understand the constitution or the "rights" you are reserved under them. You also don't realize the reach the NFL (the teams) has in protecting its brand.

Kap has an expectation to freely express his Constitutional rights. And since the NFL has no policy set on the matter, you shouldn't care, whether or not you agree with his message.

We do not live in a fascist state.

What fact did you bring? That the Eagles in fact DID fine a man for words he used, even outside of the playing field? That the NFL didn't fine him, solely because the Eagles already did?

Rest your head lil simpleton, the world is too complicated for you.

Again, can Riley Cooper, and Kap get their money back from the league based on your stupid fricking interpretation of the constitution? I guess you don't realize what they were both fined for, but no, they can't.

And you simply don't understand SOP's or code of conducts when you sign a contract for employment.

How bout if I was a member of Westboro Baptist Church and was seen on the news denigrating a fallen soldier ar his funeral and calling those who supported him jew lovers or figs? You think I'd have a job the next day?

It's not explicitly written but would anyone be surprised if Roger rolled it into conduct detrimental to the league.

It would be the dumbest move possible. No way Roger does it.

It's not like the public will be rushing to Kaep's defense if he's fined.

It has gotten university deans ousted, police officers tried with murder even though they never should have been indicted, and started riots. Add on top of that a league comprised of lots of black men who are also underepresented in coaching and management positions, and you have too many ingredients for a disaster.
