The public will punish him - might take a year or two, however, they will.

It has gotten university deans ousted, police officers tried with murder even though they never should have been indicted, and started riots.

I didn't say the public wasn't capable of doing something, I said it won't come rushing to his defense especially if all that happens is a fine. But really the NFL only bows to pressure from sponsors and no sponsors will come within a million miles of defending Kaepernick.

Add on top of that a league comprised of lots of black men who are also underepresented in coaching and management positions, and you have too many ingredients for a disaster.

It'd be another check in the Goddell has too much power column for the players and they'd complain about that but you won't find many willing to step up to share the heat Kaep's getting.

Nothing they can do about it.. he will be punished enough though.

The NFL is also obviously anti-police as they denied the Cowboys from supporting the police with simple decals.. yet they are okay with protest by players during their events against the police..

The NFL says there is a uniform policy yet they are cool with adding pink for cancer awareness.. but heaven forbid a simple decal to show support for the very people who protect the live games..

Any ways

I'm sure Chip Kelly's autistic arse will probably use this as an excuse to cut him.

isn't he some what in jeopardy of even making the roster though? Dude was limited as a QB even when they were good a few years ago.

good arm strength but he also ran a lot either by design or when he didn't like what he saw in his progression. Which I guess was more often than the average QB but whatever.

dude would make big plays back then when one was needed though. Had a huge run against Seattle in the NFC Champ game that one time and then against the Packers also... a few times I think.

but I mean just hadn't heard that much with him football related coming into this year.

I don't know. If they did end up cutting him then they'd end up taking some bullshite heat probably.

it wouldn't be about football it would be all about his personal politics. Espn's wet dream.

How glad do you think Denver is right now that they didn't pick this guy up?

Has anyone argued he should be arrested? Not his is not a constitutional rights discussion.

What he did was disrespectful, but it wasn't against a rule or a law.

Hopefully he gets published sufficently in the court of public opinion.

I don't agree with what he did, however, what he did is not a crime.

I have spent the majority of the last 8 years deployed along side our military in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am in Afghanistan right now. To me the National Anthem and the flag are reminders of and an homage to all the brave souls of all races, creeds, and religions that have died for our freedoms.

To me it is, not sure if ironic is the right word, that he is shitting on those fallen heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice for him to be able to have the right to shite on their memory and sacrifice.

A black man making a stand against black suffrage in a league where 70% of players are black.

The NFL ain't touching that with a 10 foot pole(no pun intended).

His personal conduct at the preseason game risks the reputation of the league and his team.

I don't understand this dumbass argument. I look at Kaep as the disrespectful one. Sure, it's his right to be disrespectful, but it doesn't make it any less disrespectful.

But this whole "the league and the team's reputation" is on the line?

I mean, these are the 49ers and the NFL. Does anyone think this REALLY hits them in the reputation department very hard? San Francisco is one of the most liberal cities in the country, and the NFL is run by a goonie named Goodell. With everything else that clown has done, this hardly hits the NFL in the reputation department.

Besides, everyone knows there will be big "MERICA" tributes on Opening Sunday with it being 9/11.

This was Kaep. All Kaep. I don't blame San Fran. Not like they knew he was going to do this.

He's a player that is on his way out of the league due to his performance. Now he gets to blame this as the reason, instead of admitting that he just can't get the job done. At the same time, he gets to be adored for "taking a stand" and forgiven for growing up with white privilege.

If we really want a history lesson, we can go into that. Francis Scott Key didn't like blacks, wasn't writing that song for slaves or free blacks. Lets keep it real. Lets stop the fake outrage. Francis Scott Key wanted free blacks shipped out of the United States, supported slavery, etc. So lets not get mad when a negro don't stand for a song by a guy that hated him, hated race mixing, etc.

Thank you. Some of the people that bitch the most proudly display the confederate flag over an American one. I know some people that own a confederate flag, don't own an American one. Will have it flying on their truck, license plate on their cars, but won't display the american flag. But they get mad when some negro won't stand for the national anthem, or some "sistas" don't put their hand over their heart....but yet don't get mad when white boys don't put their hand over their heart. Hmmmm. Fake outrage.

CK have the freedom to not stand for the National Anthem just like others have the freedom to fly a flag that was used in war against American soldiers, have the freedom to waive the Confederate flag at yell disrespectful things at Obama. Have the freedom to sit outside the white house with a confederate flag proudly displayed while holding anti Obama signs. Ain't american great!!!!
