It has to be manufactured

The media has been saying all along the Knicks or lakers winning the draft meant the would trade Zion/#1 pick to the Pels

So why are they melting? He is going to the pels and ad is going to a big market

The mainstream sports media has become less professional than the common message board. Its sad.

It’s because their purpose is no longer writing about or analyzing sports, it’s now completely about getting clicks. That’s all they’re doing is mining for clicks on their Atkins platforms. It’s the way to generate revenue.

The best part is they spent the earlier part of the day discussing how the Knicks would use Zion as the cornerstone of an AD trade when they won the lottery and that was fine. Lottery comes....NOLA doesn’t deserve Zion, he should go back to Duke. AD is still going to NY, LA, or BOS.

Sucks for the league. He could end up being really solid player, and you’ll never know about it unless you’re from that market. Zion is about to just disappear from the national spotlight for however long that first contract lasts.

Personally idgaf, because he won’t be 3/4ths the player that AD is, but I can see why the collective media is overreacting about him going to a black hole franchise if they are all operating under the assumption that he’s a game changing talent.

The most ive heard about Anthony Davis, or New Orleans, since he was drafted there, was this season when the LA trade rumors started.

one random moron on a message board hasn't heard much on AD until this season...then everyone else must be just as ignorant. Checks out

People weren't this mad about the Cavs getting the first overall pick after failing to keep Lebron. It's really bizarre.

Different media era, lebron is from Cleveland, and Cleveland is a sneaky large market (top 20)

Also people have a stigma that NO will mess it up because nothing came from the AD pick

Right because no one ever heard of Lebron before he went to Miami or The Greek Freak or Russell Westbrook
