Yeah bro

Race has nothing to do with anything.

ESPECIALLY the way the media, corporations, and politicians conduct themselves.

Bunch of idiots we are to think race plays a part in anything.

But it has everything to do everything these days. You can thank the liberals for that. They are getting the division in the country they are looking for.

Deshaun may be good, but he is no Tom Brady.

It’s funny that you say that, because right before this scandal, everyday in the Sports media was the narrative; “Deshaun Watson is the greatest Qb, and your team would be lucky to give 4,5,6 first round draft picks to have him”

So they were overplaying how good he is before this, and are now downplaying the coverage of his negative.

100% both types of coverage is because he is black.

Way, WAY too late for this.

15 years ago “don’t buy into their bullshite” would be a sensible thing to say, and do.

In 2021 nearly 100% of the information fed to us is dangerously biased and leaning one direction.

You’re a fricking fool to suggest otherwise and you’re a fool to expect people to “ignore” or “stop buying into” what we we’re being bombarded with.

ITT we have posters who hate when the media inserts race into stories to fit a certain narrative, insert race into a story to fit a certain narrative

It’s just that they aren’t blind or deaf to how the media works.

They are absolutely finessing this story because he is a black Qb. Sorry, it’s quite obvious.

I’ll drop my takes:

1. You had a MSM personality openly stated his dislike for Josh Allen, and admitted that he had no reason to feel that way. This was in the middle of a race discussion. You connect the dots. If this was Josh, he’d be cancelled. The script has flipped. It used to be that if you were black, you had to be a superior human being for risk of being a racial stereotype. Now, if you are a white male, you better not step on a crack or you will be cancelled.

2. The timing of this is odd. Watson was hyped this entire offseason up until the allegations blew up.

3. 22 people is too much smoke for there to be no fire.

4. ESPN has actually covered this. The NFL will do whatever they can to keep ANY of their stars out of the spotlight for negative reasons.

5. At this point, someone needs to move. Charges need to be filed or a settlement reached.

Watson is just not well known outside of football fans. I’ve seen plenty of articles about him, but I haven’t really cared enough about him to read them.

If the scandal involved a bigger star, say Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, it would get much more attention.

The story itself has been covered very heavily. Idk if the pundits have been softer bc I don’t watch/listen to sports pundits much anymore

It's funny how different folks perceptions are.

Last week I was just seeing a thread on fb of people of claiming Deshaun has been treated harshly and unfairly by the media. They say that he's been in the media nonstop because he's black. But Chad Wheeler was supposedly protected by the media, even though he dang near killed his gf.

People are stupid
