re: Why is Deshaun Watson not being talked about enough in msm with his scandal?

You think that isn't the case?
Yeah it is because he is a black QB. The media has long desired for black QBs to be as big in number and successful as white QBs. A great black QB like Deshaun Watson they'll do everything they can to ignore stuff like this

Because he’s black and despite every single crime statistic to the contrary the msm says blacks can’t do anything wrong. In short, he’s a good boy

Have you read the allegations? It's not rape he's being accused of.

Don’t worry. It’ll be all over the news when that motherfricker goes to jail.

I know, 22 accusers is a hell of a lot of smoke for there to be no fire. I get that. But this whole thing has has a weird vibe to it from the beginning. The immediate ask for hush money, Buzbees reluctance to involve HPD, the sheer numbers of added accusers. A lot of stuff. He may be guilty as hell and probably is guilty of some shady and immoral shite, but this case hasn’t been an easy one to get a good read on. It sure has stopped from the recent headlines though. Not sure what to make of that either.

He’s even finally admitted to having the sexual encounters after a month of denying it only now he’s claiming they were all consensual. But let’s just ignore the fact that he’s changing his story which is getting zero coverage. I listened to 2 different national radio shows today on a long drive and both said they had no idea what the details or allegations were in the Watson case which is obviously a lie. Anyone acting naive about the reasons for this multi sided and purposeful vagueness by the media on this story is a liar.

No clue. And it’s very puzzling

Dim’s consume themselves with mass shootings, racism, open borders and free shite for everyone, packing courts, etc
They don’t have time to talk about a hindrance to that

Why worry about a “scandal” when u could Focus on Chad wheeler something that really happened and gets absolutely no media

The Deshaun Watson that we thought we knew probably does not exist. We all need to commit to that reality and act accordingly. This includes the media, which has largely (though not entirely) tiptoed around the allegations. I suspect it is in part because Watson has spoken up about social justice issues, and he has fought to get away from a dysfunctional franchise, two causes that have endeared him to many in sports media. I don’t think people are giving him a pass for the assault allegations, but if you think most people in the media will go after him as hard and fast as we would go after, say, Curt Schilling, if he faced these kinds of allegations, you are fooling yourself.

Probably because it's not football season. If all of these accusations had come out in September or October, Watson would be plastered all over the news every day.
I can't tell if you're lying or stupid.

Because he’s MAYBE a very good QB for the Texans, who nobody in the world cares about.
Great race bait, though, moron.

And Ben Roethlisberger didn't seem to suffer much in the way of consequences
What does this have to do with the way the media covers white and black people, though?
Posted on 4/17/21 at 9:02 am to ReauxlTide222
Because if it were Josh Allen who was facing these exact same allegations it would have received 5X the coverage (at least) and these very same writers would be chastising the NFL and Goodell for not yet suspending the player.

Not much info to talk about.
Very little info being leaked by his side or other side.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to talk about it in the offseason with nothing else going on?

ESPN is covering the story, but coverage has died down. Not much info being leaked by both sides.
