Just gaging how much of a real life loser this dude is
He whooped that LSU arse one time now the entire fanbase hates him, I haven't once thought about Stetson Bennett outside of reading hate threads on here. It's a weird fascination some of you have.

Usually the cutoff works so you’re either the oldest or youngest kid in your class.
Turning 18 in October of 2015 would still make him one of the older kids in that 2016 class.
Uh.. yeah. Just like the post said. You miss the cut off and your on the older side of the class. He was held back one year. Nothing more nefarious than that.

Being 7 in kindergarten would be like being a babysitter

Lol wut. The entire fan base probably doesn’t give a shite about him.
Being a 25 year old student athlete with no degree is bum status tho. Burrow had a bachelors & masters by 24

I was 20 going into my senior year of college.

Kids that miss the cut off don’t typically get held back again. Seems like an odd decision his parents made but I guess it paid off

Then I come here and people are talking about him with such animosity lol. Like what did he do besides beat your team?

Bennett I’m sure either started one year late or was held back or did some type of pre-K or pre-1st. He’s only one year older than normal. He started kindergarten at 6 at the latest. It’s pretty common for boys now.
Stetson Bennett is 25, or two years older than a what a fifth-year senior should be.

Thats still old as shite to turn 19 at the beginning of your high school year. Was he even eligible to play his senior year? Was he stupid?
That’s actually pretty common. Tons of students graduate at 19. Especially if they’re an athlete.

I don’t believe that’s common at all. I was in my 2nd year at LSU at 19.

I teach high school in Atlanta with 3,000 kids. Half the damn football team is 19. It’s way more common than you think.

Not that big of a deal until middle school. They were too old and dumb to play school sports, but they were absolutely terrifying during P.E. dodgeball.
I’m not going to call them dumb, but my son’s birthday is Sept 2 and his best friend is May and was held back (some developmental issues at the time.)
His friend started the school year at 13 and my son always has his birthday the first week or two. They’re the oldest two in 7th grade and are heads and tails better athletes than the rest of the grade.
That will even out over HS, but you can see it pretty plainly around this age. Our private school league just does JH teams and doesn’t split 7th and 8th grade teams for conference.
They’ve beat a few 8th grade teams out of conference, but usually get handled pretty well. That hit of puberty in 7th grade is a difference maker.

This is his sixth year of college. He was one year older than the rest of his class, likely because he was held back or did some type of pre K or pre 1st.
Other than that he’s had a normal 6 year run.
Sr. season of HS: 18 (turned 19)
Freshman year UGA: 19 (turned 20)
RS Freshman JUCO: 20 (turned 21)
RS Sophomore UGA: 21 (turned 22)
RS Junior UGA: 22 (turned 23)
RS Senior UGA: 23 (turned 24)
COVID year UGA: 24 (turned 25)-This year

Why did Stetson Bennett graduate HS at 20?
They mention this at least 20 times a game. Remember he couldnt get into elementary school so had to go to a prep school, then had to redshirt kindergarten. Didnt look the part, but even as a 2 year old he told his mom one day he would graduate high school. Everywhere he went they told him he wasnt smart enough to make it to high school and then look at him now. Diploma and everything. Kid is resilient.

Only one year off? Don’t most start K at 5 and turn 6 during the year?

His major is listed as Learning Design and Technology which isn’t rocket science. Is he just mentally challenged in the classroom but smart on the football field???

He started at 6 and turned 7 in October of his kindergarten year. Let that sink it. A 7 year old in kindergarten before Halloween.
And he hasn't even earned a bachelor's degree at 25 despite requirements to be a full-time student to be on a NCAA football team.
