Guy I graduated with turned 20 in like September of freshman year of college. My room mate freshman year did in October. They were already old for their grade and were held back in kindergarten. I was young for my grade and turned 18 a couple weeks after graduation. It happens. Bennett prob did that and then stayed in college 6 years, which is how he’s 25

If high school was like mine, 2 stops in 8th to add 1yr age to high school football.

Holding kids back for sports reasons has been a common thing the last two decades by helicopter parents.
Its like 90210, they just re-do their junior year.
Or get pulled for fake homeschool to train.
