Why did Bruce Bowen get the “dirty player” label?

I never saw him do anything wrong. The ONLY dirty NBA player I’ve seen is Zaza Pachulia.

Zaza learned his moves from Bruce
There’s a YouTube montage of Bowen kicking his feet under shooters legs

Another stupid post by you. Shocking.

He basically created the leg under the jump shot move. He’s a dirty POS and it’s hilarious to hear him discuss it on national TV as if he has any room to talk. He did it to Vince Carter multiple times
A compilation of him doing it to Vince Carter
If you don’t understand how Bruce Bowen is considered dirty you’re either 16 years old or didn’t watch playoff basketball until like 2011.

He is not as dirty as Dwyane Wade but he's pretty fricking dirty

Speaking of dirty players, I’ve always read that John Stockton is one of the dirtiest players ever. Not sure how true it is, but it’s quite the accomplishment, especially in the era he played in, if true.

If this isn’t a troll, OP is reminding people that 14 year olds post on these boards and it’s easy to forget and assume it’s adults.
You could create an all star team with the players Bowen used his dirty “sticking the foot under the shooter and kicking/kneeing” cheap shots.
Vince Carter
Iverson
Nash
Kobe
Melo
Wally
CP3
Amare
And I’m sure that’s not it, just the ones I know.

Nah, I know Bowen (and many other players) were dirty. I’m just trying to blatantly sweep any non-Warriors instance of dirty play under the rug.

I thought people said Hornacek was the dirty player between those two. The main thing Stockton used to do was hold on to players’ shorts, especially in the era where everyone was wearing really baggy shorts, and while that is annoying, it wouldn’t cause serious injuries.

Because he was dirty. Not quite as dirty as some claim in retrospect, and his non-dirty defense was pesky af, but the "dirty player" label wasn't unwarranted.
I'm glad he kicked Ray Allen in the head, though. I consider that retroactive retribution

Bowen sticking his feet under Dirk's legs as he came down from a jumper is one of the reasons he started doing his one legged fade away.
