also, it's pretty easy to say where he could've/should've/would've went in the 2015 NBA Draft after watching them play in the NBA for a year and prove to be one of the best draft's in years.

yes, he is. He was a one and done at LSU under Brady. Not too many on this board even know he was at LSU. He had measurables too...and was drafted 14th in 2008.

I think he can find success in the NBA, but not as much in the PnR game.
Seriously?
At 6'10 he can post up any guard that switches and is too quick for most 4s.
Not to mention, he has a great handle and vision. Try to help down in the post? He'll get the ball to the corner for the open 3.

The whole "he isn't competitive" part is sorta garbage. the stat line doesn't lie. He can score he can pass and not only can he rebounds but he goes out and rebounds.
No one looks competitive when your team sucks.
"pads stats in blowouts" is also pretty garbage. Outside the A&M games he was solid.
Saying A&m challenged just him to take jump shots is fricking stupid. They challenged the whole team to, and we didn't.

Minus the hype and short on the production.

No. I just think both Randolph and Simmons didn't have their heart at LSU. IF the switch turns on for Simmons and the $$$$ get him motivated, he will be great.
But, from what I have seen at LSU from these 2, I put them in the same category. Just my opinion

because he is a mismatch nightmare with his skillet & size. He can play either role, he pass over anyone, he can take bigs off the dribble off the switch, he has shown great timing to where he can roll and catch the alley oop over defenders. The only thing he cant really do is keep defenders honest with the jumper, but that will come.
there will already be the huge question on who guards this guy. Dude will live on the FT line when the wrong guy switches on him and will blow by defenders if they are 1 step out of position on the roll.

Anthony Randolph is a huge enigma and is such a ridiculous comparison. He couldn't dribble to save his life and was a twig.

he looks like an idiot at 6'10" bringing the ball down the court. did his dad make that part of the deal in committing to LSU?

I asked the question on here back in January is Simmons a product of the ESPN hype machine? Of course, as expected, it didn't go over too well on here.

Anthony Randolph cannot handle the ball like ben simmons
the only things they have in common is they are lefthanded and light skinned blacks

I don't think he's quick enough to take most NBA bigs off the dribble, tbh.
And if he can't develop a jumper with a quickness, the bigs will just sag off of him anyways.

i challenge you to find CBB players that have averaged 19/12/5 over the course of a season, while shooting 56%. Good luck

Ben Simmons=Anthony Randolph
I have said this in other threads. Randolph is still in the NBA. I see Simmons having the same type of career
The level of hipster-ish doubt on Ben by basketball guys I really respect like RTR is amazing.
Simmons will easily be the #1 pick. It won't even be a question. Everything else is just clickbait. And he will be great. His skill set is great and HE produced at amazing levels.
Having JJ as a coach fricked him.

ESPN might have built him up to much, but who else has been a better prospect since LeBron and Durant?
Since those guys? (and you're exclusion of Oden speaks volumes)....
Beasley
Davis
Towns
Wiggins
Embid
have all been labeled at some point generational talents
