Don’t you know?

2020 Alabama lucked into that thing. Nothing points to Alabama being a NC worthy team. Fluked it in 2020.

This Bama fan just told you exactly why that *title was a joke and doesn’t even realize it.

Because Alabama won a title in 2020. That's it. That is the entire reasoning on here.

Winning a World Series is the most difficult compared to all others, but i don't really discount LA's title despite the regular season only being 60 games. They had a great team and weren't a fluke despite needing several years after 2020 to win the NL again.

If the Astros or Braves had won that year, those fanbases wouldn't have called it a fraud title either.

Glad we won in '21 though with actually playing games at home.

Maybe it's because this is an LSU message board and I don't visit other programs' boards, but it seems like the loudest, by far, voice that the 2020 College Football season doesn't count comes from the LSU fanbase.

I don't hear Ole Miss, Texas, Troy, whatever fanbases trying to push that talking point nearly as much.

Just a personal observation. That is all.

The irony with people discounting the dodgers 2020 WS win is that in reality, Covid made that championship run more difficult than others, due to the expanded playoffs. Further, the MLB playoffs and WS were played in real major league stadiums, with fans.

In regard to the NBA, the bubble setting seems to somewhat diminish the title, and it also seemed that half the players were whining about BLM rather than concentrating on basketball. IIRC, the bucks and clippers players wanted to boycott the rest of the season and sit out the playoffs.

College football was a clown show with some of the conferences sitting out for half the season, everything was discombobulated. Although that Alabama team likely wins in a regular season, their title legitimacy suffers the most.

Why did LSU go .500 if the season were so easy? If it was an anomaly why did they have a losing record in 2021.

Bama won the championship lost 6 1st Rd picks and was back in the championship in 2021. Seems like no difference in seasons for either team

No one getting a title is better than the Lakers and Bama getting a title.

I hate Lebron James but that playoff run was about as even a playing field as you can possibly get. No home field advantage, just basketball.

Part of the basketball season is being able to withstand the grueling 82 game season, and still be fresh enough for the playoffs to make a run. That was eliminated with the bubble bullshite and break. If you just had the playoffs start after a 2 week season every year LeBron would probably have 10 rings

No shite!

And that format disproportionately helps teams who have older or injury prone players
