Who's your favorite college athlete that you wanted to have a great pro career and didn't?

Might have to go Mason Katz or probably some other LSU ball player for me. Baseball is brutal compared to the other big sports because guys can get caught up in the minors for a long time chasing their dream for not so much money before reality really forces them out. At least in the other sports it doesn't drag you out so long before you know your life has to take another path.

Isn’t Shoelaces still a return guy WR for the Jags?

How could we forget Lectric Leland?

Probably still too early to tell, but Jaylon Smith went from "future Hall of Famer" to merely "productive professional" with that injury. I've never seen anyone jump out at you as much as he did when he was in college. Seems like a great kid, too, and he was the only reason Van Gorder held on as long as he did.

Denard is a good one. On the flipside, it's nice to see a guy who suffered during Rich Rod (Brandon Graham) do so well.
I would love to see one of the GOAT college tennis players, Steve Johnson, win a major. But, that's not happening. In hindsight, it's amazing he has done as well as he has with some major deficiencies, like an inability to hit a topspin backhand.

Mitch McGary had no business turning pro when he did and suffered because of it.
Also he was never going to be a great pro but definitely could of been a Paul Milsap, Carlos Boozer level player

I absolutely loved watching that guy play in college games that were close near the end. He hit a shot that defied gravity to win at Kansas in 2007ish
