Miner but where's the love for Dominican Jordan, Felipe Lopez?

Penny Hardaway is the first guy I recall being compared to Jordan in that fashion. While he was still in college he was compared to Jordan and he was drafted into the league right after Jordan left for baseball.

Yep, after Miner that's a pretty good list.
Interesting that most players dubbed the "Next Jordan" did turn out to be really damn good. All stars, future HoF'ers, etc.
Miner and Mayo are the only major duds.

Felipe Lopez was a huge dud, and got more direct Jordan comparison than most of them.

Harold Miner was baby Jordan...but I don't know if people seriously thought he was the next Jordan...they just liked how he drove to the hoop.

I think that’s the Hebrew (Ronnie) Henderson.

Minor was first I remember, but grant hill was the only one I remember in the late 90s that actually deserved the moniker.
Dude was amazing until the injury and subsequent infection.

Maybe I’m remembering this wrong but one name I haven’t seen is Allen Iverson.

Because no one ever referred to him as the next Jordan

It's Hovi, baby, you Kobe, maybe; Tracy McGrady
Matter-fact, you a Harold Miner
J.R. Rider, washed up on marijuana
Even worse, you a Pervis Ellis
You worthless, fella; you ain't no athlete, you Shawn Bradley

While definitely one of the greatest to ever play (I don't get into Jordan vs. LeBron debates on THE greatest), I never really heard LeBron James compared to Jordan like the other four on your list there.
I always remember LeBron being compared to Magic Johnson, because that's who his size, ability to play so many positions, and game compared to. Jordan and Kobe's games were very similar. Constant scorers. They weren't triple-double threats like Magic and LeBron.
Grant Hill and Vince Carter, when at their primes, were more similar to Jordan and Kobe in their styles of play as well than Lebron and Magic.
There, that's enough basketball discussion for me to last three years.

People still claim to this day that Len Bias would have been better than Jordan.
